🐾Micromanaging your dog has an adverse affect. Where a dog will tend to listen to you less. I'm sure it's similar to when your mom constantly nags you and you have the urge to be avoident or ignore her. Let your dogs be dogs.

🐾They'll have moments, even us owners have our moments. It's natural. We work with it and use those moments to better our bond and continue forward. Strong bonds create a more secure and reliable dog which is always the goal.

🐾There is no quick easy band-aid solution to making your dog magically not reactive anymore. It takes work and undying patience.

🐾 Go at their pace and see what their threshold is. Learn to read your dog's body language. When you start understanding your dog, you can start addressing the underlying issues of reactivity

🐾All dogs are different and learn differently. What works for one may not work for another. If you have two reactive dogs in the same household. Work with them individually and see what they need.

🐾It's not rocket science people, dogs are always telling you what they need. But are you listening? 🤔

"It's more fun to act fast and think later!" - Nook the 1 yr old Blue Heeler Labrador Mix 🐕 💨🏃‍♀️

You can do herding exercises for 15 min with them going around any house hold item. Like a shoe or box and they will be more tuckered than if you focus solely on satiating physical needs.

Be creative because dogs don't need anything fancy. They want you, a calm parent, and their breeds' jobs met. That's it! They were never asking for much in the first place. We just weren't listening.

This little girl was a street dog before being adopted. She has big boss dog energy in a little test tube body. Her shtick is to play victim and then when you least expect it - she's taken over the house and is walking you on a leash. 🐕 🚶‍♀️

Exhibit A: Mochi got Rex back for almost pushing her off the wall by trying to steal his portion of snacks during outdoor snuffle matting session. 🐾

Big welcome to our next victim!!! *ahem* I mean...student 👀

This young pup may be little, but he likes to use his voice to make him seem big! We had to break it to him that it was an "inside voices" only club. He wasn't happy 😬

Wait till he hears about the rest of the rules. He's gonna have to stop jumping AND walk nice?!?!

Well, since he already likes to jump, it should be no problem getting over those hurdles 👍👍

Rex took himself to the coffee shop since morning classes got canceled

He took a stroll around campus and then went to his afternoon meeting, except he was the only one who made it 😞

No one told him it was canceled!
