This is Marla.

When she was just a chick, she had a tangle with and enthusiastic pup. We thought she was a goner, but nursed her back to health. She’s been our unrivaled favorite since. A little smaller. A little weird. Our kind of girl.

This year she and her two sisters – the last of the original 8 Olive Creek chicks – turn six. So we’ve moved them and a couple friends out of the big coop and into their very own retirement community.
