Shout out to Salmon River Electric for squeezing us in and getting our new upgraded wiring in our dog kennels and our dog barn!

We are adding in new heaters on the playyard side that are made specifically for the 12x12 indoor kennel stall areas to have full coverage to keep your dogs nice and warm during the cold weather season! 🙌

Hello Tilly! This sweet little girl has rented our Holter monitor for the next 24 hours!

Holter Testing (Cardiac Screening)
We rent out our Holter monitors here so you can do your 24hr Heart Holter test on your dog.
A Holter is a ambulatory electrocardiogram similar to an EKG. The holter monitor is worn for 24 hours. The monitor will reveal any ectopy like PVCs (pre-ventricle contractions) VT (ventricle tachycardia) or any other arrhythmias that may be present.
The reason we do the holter is because Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a serious, potentially fatal heart condition that affects over 58% of ALL Doberman Pinschers and other breeds!
The Holter is just one step to catch DCM early, the Holter should be followed up by an echocardiogram to rule out or diagnose DCM or other heart issues.
This is the 1st step to catch abnormalities before it's too late!

Hours: 2 days per week, with occasional weekend overnight shifts

Are you a dog lover? We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as part‑time daycare and kennel assistant. If you enjoy working with dogs and have a passion for providing care and companionship, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
🐾 Care for dogs of all sizes and breeds
🐾 Supervise playtime and ensure safety
🐾 Clean and maintain the facility
🐾 Feed and administer medications as needed
🐾 Engage with pups to ensure a happy environment
🐾 Must be able to lift 50lbs

Qualifications:

🐶 Must be 18 years or older
🐶 Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented
🐶 Comfortable handling dogs of varying sizes and energy levels
🐶 Basic pet first‑aid knowledge or willingness to learn (preferred)
🐶 Prior experience with dogs is a plus

Upcoming Class:

Basic Obedience/ Therapy Dog 101

This course is designed for dogs just starting out, that may or may not have had some previous training experience.

This course we will focus on getting you and your dog ready to pass the Canine Good Citizen(CGC) which is a pre requirement for the therapy dog certification.
We prep you and your dog to be ready to start visiting nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities.

Therapy Dog 201

This program is for dogs who have had previous basic obedience training and have passed their canine good citizen (CGC) title requirements. Dogs must walk nicely on a leash no pulling, barking or lunging towards people or other dogs. Must love getting petted and snuggles with humans😉🐾

In this class, we will go out and about to nursing homes and other approved facilities and the final is the Certified Therapy Dog Test. The Therapy 201 program can take up to 10-16 weeks to complete!

“Mookie”

This CUTE bernadoodle is here for a quick 10 day Training while Boarding
He is working on the Heather Hero’s leash. This boy has goals to be a Therapy Dog and eventually a Service Dog!

During his stay we are working on-

* leash manors (no pulling)
* excessive barking
* basic obedience skills

Training while Boarding option is to combine dog training with boarding. This approach will accelerate the training progress, as we provide a structured, consistent environment for learning.

This is great for dogs with behavioral issues, fearful, reactive or dogs that just need to keep up on the basic skills. This option is a short-term training option while your dog boards with us. This option is only up to 12 days max.
