I'm putting this out there again as we are still getting questions about boarding.
Taravale Kennel has been sold and no longer in operation.
We are very sorry but several circumstances dictated this move.

We are heading towards our last week of boarding. Taravale has been sold. June 1st is the day our kennel will be empty.
Thank you to all for trusting us with your pups care.
The new owners will not be boarding. They will take this place on a different path. They raise, train and compete with hunting breeds.
I will miss my extended dog ( and owner!😉) family.
Love, health and happiness to all!

You might have heard through the grapevine that Taravale Farm & Kennel is for sale. Sadly, this is true. Bernie and I are at a point where we need to have less work to do.
Up until the place sells, and hopefully with new owners, Taravale will continue to be the best home away from home for your dog family members.
Since Covid's strangle hold is loosening up, we hope to see your fur members in the near future!
Thank you!

We have made it into 2021! It's not been easy being a small business owner. Kennel bookings are wayyy down; however, we are still open for those that need us! Eventually, the kennel will fill again. Already seeing increased bookings.
We have maintained our farm and kennel help...God bless them!!
But as people get on with their lives, one of our wonderful helpers will return to his regular job. He is a DJ for weddings and events in NYC. Really sad to see James leave!
As of April first, we will be in need of kennel, farm help for Monday through Friday mornings. When the kennel is busy plus taking care of our dogs and feeding sheep (until grass comes up!), it takes between 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours.
Please contact me, Barb, at [email protected] or 518-331-8070.

I'm getting asked if we are still open. Absolutely! We have disinfectant to wipe doorknobs and surfaces. Hand sanitizer.
Wear masks!
Best of all, being "self serve", the odds are, you will be the only person in the kennel at that time.
New customers must come for a tour and explanation of how our kennel operates. This is two fold: one is I want to know the owner cares enough and takes care of their dog; no fleas, ticks, parasites.
Two is most owners want to see where their family member is staying.
May your holiday season be safe and healthy!
Thank you to all our clients!

My husband and I like to think March is the beginning of spring! Fickle month, though, she is.
My friend and kennel helper, Jen, has decided to retire this spring. Knew it was coming at some point, but was hoping later rather than sooner!
We are looking for a mature, knowledgeable person to cover 7 shifts during the week. Each shift is 2 1/2 to 3 hours. There will be occasional weekends if Liz needs to switch.
Please contact me at [email protected]
Thank you!

Snow and more snow! And power outage...from 8 pm and still no power at 7 AM!
BUT, thank goodness for our generator! The kennel is still warm...and our house, too.
So your dogs are kept warm and toasty no matter what!
