We are so grateful to be a part of making dreams come true. Our service dogs have been so rewarding for those with disabilities who desperately need their help. They are the partners to many children and teens with autism. And families have literally been “made whole” with our companion dogs. Recently we had two experienced top tier trainers tell us that our puppies were their easiest dogs to train. That says it all. Joy to my heart.

Our dear friend Bill Atkinson passed away June 5th. His beloved partner Poppy was a puppy from our first litter. She brought us together many times. Bill visited Poppy 6 times as she was growing up and was completely childlike, rolling on the floor and loving her from her first week of life. This world will miss Bill dearly.

Saying goodbye to a beloved friend, Bill Atkinson, who brought Poppy into his family from our very first litter over 10 years ago. We will miss him as I’m sure Poppy will. The family will continue to take care of her and love her as always.

True2Gold puppies have never contracted Parvo or any other puppy disease. They are fully protected under our holistic vaccine program when they go home at 8 weeks - which is the critical time to socialize your puppy. At 8-12 weeks they are particularly vulnerable when meeting other dogs. They will either become dominant, submissive or perfectly attune to the communication of new dogs. It’s imperative that they do not pick up any fearful tension from the human or they will think it’s their job to protect their human from other dogs. Then they can actually become aggressive. So let them rough house and tumble and play with new dogs. When an adult dog growls at them, it’s ok. It’s part of the discipline that they need. These days vets are not releasing pups into the world until 12-16 weeks. This is way later than we feel is reasonable. However, it is important to stay safe, since Parvo can be fatal.
