As part of our HVOC CLUB MISSION we are joining a community partner for this Fit Dog walk on Saturday March 21! Thank you Cathy Jacobs, for bringing this opportunity and beautiful walk!!

Mark your calendars! Registration and information are included in the link below. On behalf of HVOC, I registered as team captain. When you signup, please write that you are part of the Hidden Valley Obedience Club team! If you donate to the Humane Society, write HVOC or Barb Everett on your envelope to them so that HVOC gets credit. Wear all of your HVOC, Fit Dog or blue gear on you and your pups. We want to represent our club and show the community HVOC is a strong, positive and beautiful place to train dogs. We will meet near the back of the start line and walk as a team. Some bullet points are below. You can also contact Cathy Jacobs or I for questions. We are hoping our entire club will attend!

This walk is flat, short, safe and suitable for ALL TEAMS. You can go as short or long as you like. The walk is only one hour or less.
You can earn points for a Fit Dog walk towards titles. Yes, you may invite friends and family to walk with us. Yes, you may walk without a dog. If you can't take your own dog but would like to walk one, Cathy and I usually have extra and can loan you one.

Fit Dog Pack Walk Reminders:
We pause on the hikes for a group photo and water break. Even on a cold day bring water for you and your dogs. At the beginning of our hikes dogs can be excited so please remember to stay six feet apart. While excitement on walks often means happiness (eustress), dogs in arousal can quickly turn into feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Dogs communicate silently and subtly they don’t greet other dogs the way people greet each other. At no time should you let your dog pull towards another dog. If you leave a hike early or need to stop please let me know. Otherwise, I will send my search dog after you. You are welcome to bring friends and family on the walks. The AKC-HVOC hikes are free and voluntary. Anyone who wants AKC Fit Dog titles can see me after walks for the paper work. Children need to be with an adult. Arrive ten minutes early so we can leave on time.

In the fun and frolic of Fit Dogs, Barb and Hans
