We will be having our Margaret Mitchell signups this Friday August 22nd from 2-4 at Stegall's Pottery !

$80 for dogs
$70 for cats
Additional services can be added such as microchipping!

The changes of the meeting schedule are as followed:

" Beginning in September 2025 the fourth Friday 10:00 am meeting will no longer be a public meeting. The ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD will be using that time to work on policies and procedures in anticipation of the shelter’s reopening. The meeting open to the public will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm at Erwin Town Hall. "

You may remember Trojan, he was one of the dogs we took in from the Unicoi County Animal Shelter a few months ago. As many know, we have been working very closely with the Unicoi County Animal Shelter since the flooding from Helene.

To our sweet Trojan may your life be filled with hugs & kisses.💕 We love your sweet boy!! 💕💕

Dog facing amputation after being hit by car. He’s only one or two years old and has his whole life ahead of him. 😥 The Unicoi County Animal Shelter is trying to raise money for his surgery and care. Then this SWEET baby will be adopted out. 💙 The shelter folks are calling him Creek (the vet staff may be going with Apollo). He has a fractured knee and dislocated hip. Good thing they found him when they did because infection was starting to set in. His surgery is going to cost about $1700. Please reach out to the vet’s office if you can help.
