Joey Bagel and Addie have both crossed the Rainbow Bridge, living long and happy lives as the King and Queen of our castle. I took a break from making these delicious treats as to spend more time with my precious pups in their Golden Years. We have introduced a new puppy rescue to our home, who I think still can feel the loving spirit of our Beagles. Drago, is now enjoying Addie's Paddies!! He is
only 9 months old, is a rescue and is a Catahoula Leopard mixed with Wheatley Leopard, German Shepard and Chihuahua. What a mix!!! At this point, we are only producing Addie's Paddies. If there is a huge call for our Gluten Free treats (Bagel's Biscuits) we will start to make those again, however, Addie's was our most popular. I adopted Joey Bagel, from the Longmont Humane Society, in Longmont, CO, in September 2006. He was an abused dog with a broken tail, but NOT a Broken Spirit. After several months of tender loving care, he soon fit into the roll of "King of the Castle". Along with that roll, came another one…on his belly! Joey's appetite for treats helped him gain a rotund middle section! I had to find better nutritious treats, yet with a lower caloric option for him. In August of 2010, along came Addie, another rescue from the Humane Society. She was a malnourished sweetie, with an injured hip, another victim of animal abuse. Because of her injuries, she had problems with digestion, as well as retaining weight. For her, I had to come up with a higher calorie treat to help her keep weight on. After buying every treat on the market, I decided I'd create one that was specific to their needs. After much trial and error, I succeeded. Addie's Paddies are a higher caloric Cookie - ingredients include Rolled Oats, Wheat Flour, Peanut Butter, Molasses, Apple Sauce & Eggs. I'm proud to say, that whatever sad beginnings they both lived through, those days are far from their memory.
