Every year, the MAH group donates their expertise and resources to support local animal welfare initiatives. This summer, we expanded our outreach efforts by supporting Canine Partners Program. This organization founded by Judy Troyer, is dedicated to rescuing animals from puppy mills and other deplorable living situations, owner surrenders, and animals with behavioral challenges. She works tirelessly to rehabilitate and rehome these animals, demonstrating unwavering compassion and dedication. The MAH group has long admired Judy's commitment to animal welfare. Unfortunately, Canine Partners Program often receives limited donations compared to larger shelters in the Erie area. Recently, Judy received six Golden puppies in a single day. In response, the MAH group will be providing pro bono spay and neuter services for these puppies, helping to alleviate some of Judy's veterinary expenses. We encourage those considering donations in the future to support Canine Partners Program and their vital work in the community.

🐾UPDATE -BEST NEWS EVER! A networker, and ardent supporter of EAN, reported seeing Abel last night and he was in her yard this morning! We reached out to the owner and ABEL IS HOME! Our supporters are the best! He clearly was missing his home because he let Emma nab him with no fuss. Thank you networkers! EAN admins are celebrating this reunion and Abel's mom can finally sleep.

Abel is still missing 7-12-2025. It is believed that Abel was stolen. A police report has been filed. A generous reward is being offered for his safe return 🐾

MISSING CAT ALERT: 25TH & JAMES AVE

Networker Emma reports that Abel, a 2-year-old Persian cat, is missing from the area of 25th and James Avenue in Millcreek. Missing since July 1st at 1am. He is an indoor cat but got out while I was letting out my dog. He is probably scared and confused. PLEASE help me get him back. He is dearly loved and missed! My cat is missing since late last night, 6/14 from the corner of Fairmont Parkway and McClelland ave. His name is Lenny, he is microchipped, and very skiddish. He’s not used to being outside and we aren’t sure how he even got out but he gets really scared outdoors.
