Mornings at Echoing Pines ❤️

If you've ever wondered what mornings look like around here, let me give you a little glimpse into life with my girls!

All of my dogs live inside our home, and bedtime is a little different depending on who's who. 😂 Three of my girls usually sleep right there with me, while the others prefer the comfort of their own crates. Everyone has their own preferences, and that's just the way they like it!

And then there's Frankie, the baby, who apparently thinks three dogs in the bed just means there's room for one more! 😂❤️ She's a little bonus to our already crowded sleeping arrangements!

When morning comes, there's usually a whole lot of excitement waiting for me. It's a big "Good morning, girls!" and the crew is ready to start the day!

First things first: a potty break, followed by breakfast. Priorities, right? 🐾

These girls aren't just part of my breeding program. They're part of my everyday life, my home, and my heart. Each one has her own personality, her own little quirks, and her own special place in my life.

Life with Labradors isn't always glamorous. The mountain of hair? Oh, good Lord, the HAIR! 😂 My robot vacuum sure gets a good workout, and personal space can sometimes be hard to come by. But I wouldn't trade these moments for anything.

Just another day in our little corner of the world. ❤️

❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You ❤️

Every now and then, someone does something that reminds you just how special the people in your life can be. This sweet gift came from one of our Echoing Pines puppy families, and it truly made me smile.❤️

One of the things I’ve come to appreciate so much is that the relationships don't have to end when a puppy goes home. Along the way, friendships develop, families share updates, stories, pictures, and milestones, and the connection we share through these continues to grow.

Getting to watch a puppy grow into a beloved family member is such a special part of this journey. And when the families who started out as puppy families become friends, that makes it even more meaningful.

I’m grateful for every family who has trusted Echoing Pines to be a small part of their story. Thank you for the kindness, the thoughtfulness, the updates, and for allowing me to continue being part of your dogs’ lives long after they leave here.

❤️ The Journey Begins at Echoing Pines Labradors ❤️

Every journey has a beginning, and so much of ours happens long before a litter of puppies ever arrives.

Behind every breeding decision are hopes, questions, research, conversations, and a whole lot of thought. There are lessons learned, experiences that shape us, and always something new to discover along the way.

Over the years, I've learned that there's so much more to raising and breeding Labradors than what most people ever see. Every experience brings valuable lessons and opportunities to grow. Every breeder has their own experiences and perspectives, and I think there's something worthwhile in sharing those experiences with one another.

But above all, this journey is about the dogs. My girls are so much more than the beautiful Labradors you see in photographs. They each have their own personalities, quirks, and special ways of making themselves part of our lives. And the puppies? Watching them enter the world, grow, discover new things, and develop their own little personalities is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Every one of them leaves a little paw print on my heart.

So, I'd like to start sharing more of our world here at Echoing Pines.
Not just the beautiful photographs, but the planning, the preparation, the quiet moments, the funny moments, the challenges, and all the love that goes into raising these wonderful dogs.

From the decisions made long before a breeding to those precious days when puppies leave for their new families, there's a whole story to tell.

And who better to help us begin than Emmy? 🐾

Today was a long ride for three of the girls.
We made the trip for their eye certification appointments, and I’m so happy to share ALL THREE GIRLS passed.🥰
After sitting like good girls, being examined and generally wondering why Mom thought this was a fun outing… I decided they had definitely earned a little something special on the way home. 😂

So, we made a very important stop at Sonic. 🍔🍦

Three burgers.
Three vanilla treats.
Three very spoiled Labradors.

I love fall. The cool air, the rustling leaves, and those days when everything seems to slow down a little and I have the opportunity to get photos of the girls.

And I LOVE black-and-white photos. There’s just something about them that makes a moment feel timeless.

And then there’s Frankie… silly, cuddly, lovable, and beautiful. Just Frankie being Frankie.❤️

A Little Piece of a Very Special Boy❤️

Some dogs come into your life and become part of your story in a way you never forget. And sometimes, their legacy continues in ways you never could have imagined.

Frankie is one of those dogs.

Frankie's mama, Lexi, was one of the sweetest, kindest girls I have ever had the privilege of having in my breeding program. Her daddy was Dylan, a beautiful chocolate boy who belonged to my dear friend Audry of Blackfork Labradors

I had always loved Dylan. Every time I visited Audry, I couldn't help but tell her how much I adored him.
Even as he grew older and his beautiful chocolate face became covered with white, Dylan remained the same gentle, loving giant. And, of course, he always managed to get a few extra treats when l came to visit.
Pretend you didn’t read that part Audry 🤣

When we decided to do a frozen breeding between Lexi and Dylan, Dylan was already an old gentleman and slowing down considerably. He was almost 14 years old.

Sadly, the time came for Audry to say goodbye to her beloved boy. I was there with her when she had to let him go. We told him how much we loved him, and I thanked him for giving me the most beautiful gift I could have asked for.

Three days later, Lexi became an amazing momma to 11 beautiful puppies.

And one of those puppies was Frankie❤️

So when I look at Frankie, I don't just see a beautiful black Labrador. I see a little piece of Dylan. I see the love that went into bringing that litter into the world. And I see a reminder of a very special dog who meant so much to two very good friends.

Frankie will always hold an especially treasured place in my heart.❤️

And Audry, I hope you know how incredibly grateful | am that you trusted me with a piece of your precious boy. Thank you for allowing me to use Dylan, but even more than that, thank you for your friendship.
What we share means more to me than I could ever put into words.

Some puppies are special because of who they become.

And some are special because of who they came from.

Frankie is both.❤️

Apparently, I’m not just the lawn crew around here — I also have supervisors watching my every move.

Kandi and Kate were perfectly content to sit back and watch me work.

These two girls are pretty special to me, and there are some exciting things ahead here at Echoing Pines.

Kate will be having her very first breeding within the next couple of months. We’re simply waiting on Mother Nature and letting her timing be the guide. We are incredibly excited to see what this beautiful girl produces, and I think her puppies are going to be absolutely gorgeous. Keep watching for our announcement when Kate’s breeding takes place!

Kandi is also planned for her final breeding in late winter. This will be Kandi’s last litter, and when her time as a mother comes to an end, she will be lovingly retired and placed in her forever home. Her retirement home is already waiting for her. ❤️

And there’s one more exciting piece to our plans…

Emmy is also planned to have her final breeding within the next couple of months. A retirement home is still to be determined. ❤️

Three exciting chapters ahead — Kate beginning her journey as a mother, while Kandi and Emmy prepare for their final litters.

We’re looking forward to what Mother Nature has in store and will share announcements as plans come together.

Blackfork Labradors

This is my kind of chaos ❤️

I’m pretty sure I’m the only one in this house who doesn’t actually own a spot on the bed and find myself negotiating for approximately 12 inches of bed space 😂

These girls have no concept of personal space and have somehow managed to take over an entire king-size bed like they pay the mortgage. And apparently, I’m just here to provide room service. 😂

I’m not sure when the bed officially became theirs, but I’ve clearly lost that battle.…
