Optimistically fingers crossed scheduling the arena and roundpen skylight replacements over the next couple of weeks! I will let everyone know the exact day/or two the work is happening since it will probably NOT be fun to ride in the arenas with a man walking on the roof ripping the skylights off!! or maybe that is the perfect desensitization clinic!!

Summer Box Fan Update for this year. My farm insurance policy underwent an extensive 10 year review and the underwriters are no longer willing to insure the use of box fans in the barns. I am sorry, I know all of our horses will miss them. All of your fans are stored in the attic above the garage and so anyone who wants to take one home please let me know and we will return them to you next week, Thanks,
Linsay

Hi, we are closing the barn for the day on Saturday, October 15th so that we can host and celebrate Autumn and Dylans wedding at the farm. We are going to be hanging decorations in the cross country field and putting out tables and chairs in the picnic area over the next few days. We are also setting up buffet tables in the hay barn. 50 guests are expected so closing the barn is necessary to allow for parking and to keep humans and horses safe for the day!

Hi, as a reminder, please put jumps, cones, poles away each time after riding so that we can drag the arenas. Thanks.

Hi All, the drought update this week is that Rockingham County is in D2 Severe Drought status so please no wash stall baths until we are out of this level of drought. Bucket/Sponge baths only.

Hi, wanted to post a reminder about stall guards. Barn policy is that we don't use stall guards with doors open because there are electrical wires for the fans and outlets easily within reach when horses have their heads out of their stalls. There is also the risk of horses/people being bitten etc while passing open stalls with guards in the aisles. Thanks for understanding this is a safety issue due to how our barn is configured.
