TWO GOLDENDOODLE PUPPIES AVAILABLE
…and helping them find amazing homes helps future assistance dogs stay in training.

At Phoenix Assistance Dogs of Central PA, our puppy program is built around one thing: raising stable, environmentally sound dogs through early science-based development.

These two puppies are available as pets, while their littermates continue through our assistance dog training pathways.

✨ What makes them special?
Their parents were carefully selected for:
✔️ Health
✔️ Temperament
✔️ Trainability
✔️ Genetic soundness

Both parents hold full health clearances including hips, elbows, eyes, thyroid, heart, and genetics.

🧠 Puppies begin learning almost immediately after birth through:
• Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
• Early Scent Introduction (ESI)
• Daily positive exposures
• Novel texture and sound work
• Early confidence building
• Human bonding exercises
• Crate and potty training foundations

They are raised in a real home environment with intentional socialization and structured enrichment to support healthy neurological development during critical developmental windows.

By the time they leave, they will have:
✔️ First puppy vaccines
✔️ Routine deworming
✔️ Early crate familiarity
✔️ Potty training started

💲 $2,500
💵 $250 non-refundable deposit applied toward total

🏡 Puppies go home Thursday, June 18

LAST CALL FOR ICE CREAM FOR A CAUSE 🍦🐾

As of this morning, we are only $565 away from unlocking the FULL 20% donation level for PAD 👀

That means your ice cream addiction could literally help fund future assistance dogs. Science is beautiful.

Every gift card purchased helps support the dogs and puppies in training and if we hit $2,000 in total sales, our fundraiser jumps from 15% back to PAD to 20%.

We’re SO close.

Gift cards available in:
$5 • $10 • $15 • $20 • $25 • $50 • $100

To order, email our Fundraising Coordinator, Alexa Vath, at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

Important details:
• Orders/payment due TODAY (May 20)
• Pickup at PAD’s office in Ephrata
• You’ll schedule pickup once cards arrive
• No shipping available

Honestly, $565 is like… three Lancaster County families ordering ice cream after softball practice 😅

Help us push this over the finish line.

Today we said goodbye to a legend.

CERBERUS TAILGATE PARTI
Our Irish.

Irish was Phoenix Assistance Dogs’ very first breeding dog. A stunning red parti Standard Poodle donated to us by Cerberus Poodles & Doodles, she helped build the foundation of everything PAD would become. Long before there were multiple litters, dozens of volunteers, training programs, and hundreds of supporters, there was Irish.

My mom and I raised Irish for her first year before her incredible breeder caretakers took over and loved her for the rest of her life. She passed away today at 13 years old, just a few months shy of her 14th birthday on September 12th.

Irish only had one litter, but if you knew her, that somehow felt fitting. She didn’t need multiple litters to leave a massive mark on this organization. Her single litter, the Seaside Treasures, helped shape the future of PAD.

🏖️ The Seaside Treasures:
• Acadia ❤️
• St. Padre 🌈
• Nantucket 🌈
• Avalon ❤️
• Myrtle 🌈
• Coney ❓
• Laguna ❓
• Dewey 🌈

And honestly? Irish handled motherhood better than most humans handle literally anything.

She quietly delivered all 8 puppies completely by herself overnight. Every single puppy was healthy, nursing, and thriving by morning like she had read the textbook and decided she didn’t need supervision. Calm. Proper. Unbothered. Very Irish.

But her most iconic trait? Once those puppies became mobile and chaotic, Irish would disappear and hide from them inside the built-in storage space under the bar. Not aggressively. Not dramatically. Just a dignified “absolutely not” while peeking out from her hiding spot as the puppies searched for her.

That was Irish perfectly:
gentle, elegant, intelligent, and just the right amount of over it.

She was never loud. Never attention seeking. She carried herself with this quiet grace that made people instantly respect her. Irish was the kind of dog who helped shape the personality of an organization before anyone even realized that was happening.

There would be no PAD as we know it without her.

Run free, sweet girl. Thank you for being the beginning of this story. 🌈🐩

☀️🐾 Sunrise Puppy Club 🐾☀️

While most people are still hitting snooze, these volunteers are starting their mornings with puppy breath, wagging tails, breakfast dishes, laundry piles, and a whole lot of chaos in the best possible way.

Our 6 am Young Puppy Volunteer shifts help shape future assistance dogs during some of the most critical developmental weeks of their lives. Morning routines build resilience, adaptability, confidence, and positive human interactions right from the start.

Plus honestly? There are worse ways to start your day than holding sleepy puppies with a coffee in hand.

We desperately need a few more reliable early birds willing to commit to ONE consistent morning shift each week. No experience needed! We’ll teach you everything. Email [email protected] to get started!

Welcome to the Sunrise Puppy Club. 🌅🐶
