🐱40 Cats in 48 hours 🐱

In just 48 hours, we managed to place 40 cats from a hoarding situation on the base. These cats were going to be left behind to die. This is the largest operation we’ve ever taken on.

▪️Those that needed treatment are being taken care of. Sadly, a few didn’t make it. This kind of rescue is incredibly rare — and incredibly hard. We are so grateful to everyone who jumped in to help these innocent cats. We couldnt do it without you 🐾

▪️A special thank you to Morrison Mobile Veterinary Services who answered our last-minute call to help assess and treat these cats. It was a tough, emotional scene — but they showed up with heart and strength, like they always do. Our community is beyond fortunate to have such a wonderful team!

⁉️What Now?⁉️
We urgently need help with spays!!
At least 10–15 of the females still need to be fixed. These girls have been through enough. Spaying them (approx. $100 each) is the only way to stop the cycle of suffering.

Remember this beautiful little family who were dumped and left to survive in an abandoned potato shed on Hiawatha? 💔

✨ Look at them now! ✨

Marley was transferred to another rescue and adopted immediately! His amazing new family recently reached out, determined to learn where he came from—and today, we were able to reconnect!

Even better? We now have updates on ALL of them. We absolutely LOVE getting updates from our adopters—it’s always such a sweet and rewarding bonus. Seeing these once-forgotten lives now so loved and thriving fills our hearts to the brim. 🥹💜

❤️Meet Ares❤️

Seriously! Look at this handsome boyyyy!
This 9 year old Staffordshire Terrier mix is a big sweetheart. Ares is house broken, up to date on vaccinations, neutered and likes cats!
He does not care for other male dogs but seems to tolerate female dogs once properly introduced. He had canine friends in his previous life as well. Small dogs are an unknown.
Ares LOVES people and children! He doesn’t know a stranger nor does he know his size as he thinks he should be a lap dog. He is a lover who is affectionate and just wants to be with people.
He also loves car rides … and visiting the vet office!

Special needs:
Ares suffers from chronic ear infections and will likely need treatment for the remainder of his life. He tolerates treatment well.

💜Lila is a young pup with a soft soul and eyes full of hope. She may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, her gentle, affectionate side shines through. This lovely girl has already come so far and is learning every day that the world can be a safe, loving place.

💜Lila’s quiet nature makes her a perfect companion for someone patient and kind—someone who understands that confidence grows with time, love, and consistency. She enjoys calm environments, gentle voices, and tasty treats. Each day, she’s getting braver and discovering just how good it feels to be loved.

💜She gets along with other dogs and would do well with a calm canine friend to help show her the ropes. Lila would thrive in a home where she can continue to grow at her own pace, with a family that will celebrate all her little milestones.

🖤Meet Tres🖤
This incredibly sweet boy has been through more than most in his couple years of life —but his spirit remains full of love, curiosity, and joy.

Tres recently had a leg amputation due to prior trauma, and he’s adjusting to his new way of moving with courage and resilience. He’s goofy, affectionate, and eager to please. Once Tres picks his person, he gives his whole heart.

🖤Dog Friendly – Especially with calm, respectful introductions. He does best with female dogs and appreciates space to make his own choices. He has done well with altered males too.

🖤People Friendly – Outgoing and social once he sees your full face (hats/sunglasses can be a little confusing at first).

🖤Eager to Learn – Motivated, loves engaging with his person, he is working on leash and crate training.

🖤Special Needs – Tres requires gentle touch due to healing, ongoing physical therapy, puzzle toys for mental stimulation, and structured routines to build confidence. Due to his sensitivity to touch he would do best in a home with older children who can understand boundaries.

Tres is thriving post-surgery but will need an adopter who understands his physical limitations and is committed to helping him continue to heal—both physically and emotionally.

He’s a very special dog with a heart full of love, and we know the right home is out there for him. Could it be you?
