What I love most about field flowers is that they are ever changing. One flower arrives early, another takes its time, making creating bouquets over the summer interesting and really fun. No two bouquets are ever the same here on our little farm. Today’s bouquets are full of fragrant lavender, stock, yarrow, straw flowers, cosmos , baby’s breath , chamomile, and the ever faithful snapdragons.

It’s the first time growing chamomile on our little farm. It’s been really fun.
The flowers are delicate and faintly fragrant. After harvesting, drying and steeping, the tea is not like any other. It’s fresh and soothing. A little milk and honey and it’s the perfect bedtime drink. 🫖

The flowers are just starting and we are so excited here on our farm!! I’m predicting they will be in full bloom by July 12. The first bouquets will be ready just a couple days later. Cheers to armloads of flowers 😃

Potato salad straight from the garden 🥔
We gobbled it up before I snagged a photo, but this beautiful spread of farm fresh eggs, and potatoes, green onions, pickles from last years garden, plus a few other ingredients and our tasty side dish was ready.
Nothing tastes better than the fruits of our labor! 🧅

Our two ol’ horses sure do live a life of leisure and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Next time you’re on the farm say hey to Gunsmoke and Jazzy— Gunny is a sucker for a fresh garden carrot and Jazz loves her soft peppermints 🍬
