Last night under the strawberry moon we said goodbye to our fiery red head, Posh. She passed peacefully on her bed in her sleep. She was no frills to the end.
A lot changes over 12.5 years and she was with me through college, breakups, international moves, pregnancies, newborn baby, multiple litters etc. but what this girl loved more than anything was her dad, Roman.
Posh was a fierce protector to all who loved her. The ultimate Doberman. We never once felt unsafe with her around. In the past 2 years we got to see a softer side to her as well as our daughter, Celine, joined our family.
She loved to destroy a good blanket or shove one in a water bucket if you put her somewhere she didn’t agree with. She had the ultimate Doberman temperament. Instinct she couldn’t ignore with a human like intelligence that made her completely in tune with those around her. It’s no secret she didn’t like other dogs but those she accepted she would never turn on.
She was loyal to the end. I’m so grateful to have so many pieces of her to live on with her sons, Chapo and Tommy, and all of the Tommy/Izzy, Tommy/Juniper, Griffey/Juniper, and Tommy/Cupcake babies.
