Annamaria is staying with us 🩷

Not only did we fall in love with Annamaria's essence, but she has also become the reason and inspiration behind leaving tails on our Aussie puppies. Annamaria was so small that docking her tail would have been an undue burden. As she grew alongside a litter of the same age with docked tails, we observed a remarkable difference in mobility and, most notably, balance. While the others were still finding their footing, Annamaria was toddling around and even prancing her little jig days before them. What stood out most was her ability to communicate with her tail.

I don’t judge other breeders for their choice to dock tails; I simply believe that, in our home, tails will wag. Annamaria reminds us every day to keep wagging on!

Bringing home two puppies to share your life with...

We've done this more than once because of the joy and companionship it brings to both the puppies and our family. Most of the time, the puppies are siblings, but that's not always the case. Usually, when we bring a single puppy home, it’s because we already have another one of a similar age.

We’ve never encountered any issues, but here are a few tips to ensure the puppies receive individual attention, bond with you, and grow into their unique personalities.

1) Take the opportunity to give them some time apart, enjoying an activity with you. Perhaps one could be indoors, cuddling with mom, while the other is outdoors, playing ball with dad.

2) Feed the puppies in separate areas, allowing each to eat at their own pace without interruptions. We offer snacks together to help them learn patience, teaching them that it's okay to wait their turn.

3) Give them time apart to enjoy their favorite chew toy. While tug-of-war is so much fun, sometimes they need alone time to chew away.

4) Take each puppy for a walk individually to help them experience one-on-one time with you and the rewards that come with it, even though they are separated.

There are many ways to be creative in building the confidence and individuality of your puppies. Enjoy!!!

I was up all night with Birdie having babies so I took a couple hours nap this afternoon. This is what I woke up to...silly baby goat 😁 Birdie and babies are doing very well !!!
