Sheldon has spent at our rescue waiting and waiting for someone to take him home. That’s a long time to wait for someone to give you a chance, to just want to be someone’s companion.

Sheldon came to us as a 8 week old mangy puppy, not sure what else he went thru before coming to us. We have shown him nothing but love, friendship, hugs and given him the best care we can.

Pros:

He will love you once you give him a chance, he likes to give you hugs when you enter the rescue, he gives you one when you first walk in and then comes back for a second one. He does great with other dogs of all sizes, shapes and ages. He likes to observe sometimes , but also likes to be in the action sometimes. He likes toys, he loves milk bones, likes to help me let the other dogs out or put the other dogs up. He sometimes likes to have a collar and leash on and go for a walk, other times he acts like he is scared of a leash. He has spent some time at the dog parks and did well there and in the car. He is house trained. Hes handsome and loving.

Cons- Sheldon is scared / nervous of small kids, so he would do better with kids 12 and over. Sounds sometimes scare him. The business of a toddler scares him. He is scared of new things or things he isn’t familiar with. For example I had hung a blanket on the fence to dry, it scared him. He does better with women than he does with men. Hats and boots seem to scare him. He hasn’t had a large yard to get used to, except for the few dog park trips. So a huge yard may overwhelm him until he gets used to it.

Sheldon is about 16 months old and 50lbs. He is fully vetted. His adoption fee has been sponsored.

💙💙 Sheldon needs you to take a minute to share this post. Sheldon deserves to have a home that will love him a lifetime like we do. Someone that will give him patience, love, understanding, time and willingness to give him a chance, to work with him. We LOVE Sheldon, he knows he is loved but we want more than what we can give for him. He is such a good dog once you get to know him. He is sweet, kind, loving , obedient and gives such wonderful hugs!! 💙💙
