Sometimes hard times happen. Zion is a young adult bully pup. His owners are having to make the hardest choice to rehome him. Zion went through training with me and is very sweet! He was good with dogs, cats, and kids. If you are interested in giving him a new home let me know and I’ll get you in contact with his owner or you can call or text her at 5043888619. Also, if you give him a new home I will do a free lesson to show you all of his training to help you get the best start possible.

Sometimes my job looks a little different. A couple weeks ago a tornado took out a local neighborhood. I posted offering to board animals affected while their families are getting their lives back together. A very sweet lady asked if there was any way I could help as she had lost her home and her cat was heavily pregnant with no place to stay. We jumped into action and made an indoor catio for her. Last night she had her kittens! I am so happy we could help this family!

PET BUZZ: Enid Animal Welfare and Dr. Olson will host the Annual Rabies Shot Clinic on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Take your pets to the Stride Bank Center, northwest side of the building near the Boomer statue.

If you were affected by the tornado and need a place for your pet to stay until you have a place to live with them again, reach out. Having to choose between keeping your pet or temporary housing should not be another choice you have to make right now. I don’t have a lot of extra space but if I can help you I will.

Richard has rehabbed dogs I couldn’t even imagine taking on. He is blunt but correct. Many things people are told are “socialization” are the very things making their dogs reactive. Socialization is exposure to sights, sounds, and smells. Not greeting everything and everyone.
