Some dogs don’t need a perfect groom… they need patience. ❤️🐾

These two sweet seniors were very sensitive about having their faces handled. Losing vision can make the world feel uncertain, and for some dogs, being restrained or overhandled in the past can make grooming feel scary instead of safe.

My goal is never to force perfection. Sometimes it means slowing down, swaddling them gently in a towel, supporting them with pillows, and helping them feel secure enough to trust the process.

Did they leave with flawless haircuts? No.

But they also didn’t leave overwhelmed, terrified, or feeling like grooming was something to fear.

At Called To Groom, trust always comes before perfection. Because a dog who feels safe today has a better chance of feeling confident tomorrow. 🩵
