Cattin’ Around Englewood We are a dedicated group of volunteers who help Community Cats through TNVR services and by fostering cats & kittens until forever families are found.

Cattin' Around Fosters & TNVR Volunteers are a dedicated group of volunteers who foster neglected and abandoned cats and kittens in our area until purrfect furever families can be found and/or until a local established no-kill shelter has space to accept them into their care. We also have volunteer trappers who can help direct you to TNVR services in the greater SWFL area. We will work with dedica

ted colony feeders to get each and every cat spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Trapping in community cat colonies requires a group effort and we will thus need your full support and involvement in the process. Donations of items on our Amazon and Walmart Wishlists as well as donations of gas cards and/or payments directly to vet offices to offset the cost of animal care are always appreciated. Progress Update- Foster Amy is still working hard to save Tuxy & Tippy’s eyes. We’re feeling pretty good about Tippy’s prognosis, but Tuxy’s vision is still to be determined. These things take time and dedication. Tuxy receives medicated drops or an ointment every two hours along with Refresh Eye Gel. We’ve moved Tippy up to every four hours. This is the same protocol we used on Dinky last year under Dr Seyer’s direction and we were miraculously able to save both of Dinky’s eyes. Yes, she looked this bad too.

Keep these tiny tots in your thoughts in the weeks to come. Despite their yucky little eyes, Tippy & Tuxy are eating, growing, and playing appropriately so we’re going to keep fighting for them!

Happy Adoption Day to Chloe & Latte! 🩷🩵
These two cuties both came from TNVR colonies in Arcadia. Their moms were sterilized, vaccinated, and returned and the babies came to us for medical care and long term fostering. We’re so happy these two will never have to fight for survival outside like their mamas did. Happy, healthy, cozy inside lives, Sweet Babies! 🩷🩵

👩🏻‍🍳Meet Lucy & Her Sweets👩🏻‍🍳
You might remember when volunteer Lorena scooped Lucy and her teeny tiny babies up just before a big storm at the beginning of May in Arcadia. They are now fostered with Lynda in Englewood and keeping her on her toes. Lynda is by self-admission a dog person, but she saw our need and wanted to support our mission so she volunteered to help. Truffle and Eclair are a wee bit smaller than Lynda’s rescued greyhound, but she’s learning as she goes and we’re super thankful for her help!

Truffle and Eclair won’t be ready for adoption for a few more weeks, but Mama Lucy seems eager to wean her tiny tots so we anticipate she’ll be ready for adoption in a couple weeks. She is an absolute LOVEBUG! She purrs up a storm and just basks in all the attention she can get. We don’t see many long haired calicos so if she’s the kitty you’ve been dreaming about, get your application in now!

Sweet mama Bonnie somehow found herself at a local animal control facility last month and we all know that’s no place to raise a family so we scooped her little family up and brought them to Fosterland. Foster mom Kathy has been busy keeping up with this little crew in Placida. Look how happy, healthy, and chunky they are! Just precious! 🥰

These three little tabbies (minus foster brother Lava Chicken) are seeking a four week foster or foster-to-adopt home. Foster Criss is our bottle baby extraordinaire and she’s currently weaning the little tabbies over to solids so they are ready for the next step in their journey. We need to open Criss’s home up for the next set of critical babies. Can you help?

These babies are currently fostered in Sarasota, but we can deliver them to you within a reasonable distance 30-45ish minutes).

Volunteer Amy wouldn’t leave Venice until every kitten from this litter was safely trapped and brought into foster care a couple weeks ago then brand new foster mum Deb volunteered to teach this crew to love and trust humans. There have been bribes and forced cuddles and it’s all worked perfectly! We now have purrs! 🖤🧡🖤

Introducing Frappe, Mocha, Chai, & Latte! These little boys are currently being fostered in Nokomis and will be available as Foster-to-Adopts in a couple weeks. We all need a little extra caffeine on Mondays, right?
