🚗🍦 CLASSIC CARS, CHILI & SOMETHING SWEET! 🍑🍪

Make a day of it on Saturday, September 12th!

🌶️ Grab some delicious chili from the Chili Cook-Off
🍦 Then head over to the Rose Community Center and see the Women’s Service Club!

After all that chili, come cool off your mouth with refreshing homemade ice cream—and cool off the rest of you in the AIR CONDITIONING! 😄❄️

We’ll start serving at 11:00 a.m. and will have:

We had a great meeting on Monday night!! We had Penny Ryan come visit us and share about a great, new organization coming to Rains County called Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Can't wait to see what exciting things are in store for them! We also had the great privilege to meet our Adopt-A-Cadet, Logan Robbins and his mom, Christine . We were able to present him an American flag that was flown over our US Capitol on graduation day in his honor. I know he's going to do great things in the US Army!! Thank you Stephanie for providing the snacks and desserts!

📢 Temporary Change for Rose Community Center Rentals

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Pam Fenter and her family as they recover from the recent house fire. During this time, we want to give Pam the opportunity to focus on her family and take care of the many things that come with rebuilding after such a difficult loss.

Effective immediately, Robin Daughety will be serving as the temporary contact for Rose Community Center reservations and rental inquiries.

It is with great disappointment that the Women's Service Club must announce the cancellation of our 2026 Poppers in the Park celebration.

As many of you know, this year would have been a special event as we joined communities across the nation in celebrating America's 250th Birthday. Unfortunately, due to insurance requirements associated with hosting the event, we were unable to meet all of the necessary conditions needed to proceed safely and responsibly.

The Women's Service Club is committed to ensuring that all of our events comply with applicable safety, liability, and insurance standards. After careful consideration and exploration of available options, we determined that we could not move forward with this year's fireworks celebration.

We understand this news will be disappointing to many families and community members who look forward to Poppers in the Park each year. We sincerely appreciate the support, enthusiasm, and encouragement that our community has shown for this event over the years.

While we will not be gathering for Poppers in the Park this year, we encourage everyone to celebrate Independence Day and support other local fireworks displays, including those hosted by the communities of East Tawakoni and Lake Fork. These events provide wonderful opportunities to come together with family, friends, and neighbors as we honor our nation's 250th birthday.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Women's Service Club and our efforts to serve the community. We look forward to future opportunities to bring our community together.
