*****Later this wk I will be putting an animal care post out with some really good exotic and avian vets for ppl.

This is just an appreciation post for a great friend and amazing vet! Dr Goldsmith.
He was one of the main ppl that created Kaytee exact hand feed formula and has done some amazing things in his career. The knowledge the man has is awesome. We will talk hrs on end from avian, primates, clouded leopards and everything in between. All about diets, genetics, bio security, travel/work and also just bu****it about everything else! He is one of the best avian and exotic vets. He will really problem solve and break things down for ppl to understand.

This little tank was one hell of a dog to train!!!

I was his last stop at JAM HOUSE K9 Training before being put down.

Most trainers wont touch or get close to a dog of this manner as it can be very dangerous if you dont know how to properly handle and understand whats going on with an animal of this capacity. I feel blessed to be able to able to help animals and owners in these very hard situations all over the country.

Proud we were able to get him tuned up and living right. He came out of the program thriving with a new set of boundaries and relationship with his people. Able to go out for walks, car rides and live life now 🤘

Ole boy had a laundry list of some nasty human bites and dog bites. He had low confidence that grew into some massive reactivity aggression. He also had resource guarding over a few things like his kennel if he was in it and the door was closed, only certain toys and bowls. Hated any boundaries, couldn't leave his house etc.

*** He wears a basket muzzle EVERY TIME he is off of his property for his safety! He has 0 chances left so everything has to be done properly and safe as possible for the owners and the dog.

His owners did a great job listening, learning and implementing everything needed to manage this guy properly! It is very hard and alot of work. The owners/ handlers have to be taught more then the animals in general.

ALOT of people dont want to put the work in with there animals and then blame them for bad behaviors, destroying things, s**tty attitudes and so on. Its on the owners to make sure s**t is done to fulfill the animal’s life.

Luckily for OX his owners are
200% committed to managing him properly and giving him a great life! Love when it ends this way.
