My mom has dementia and I have 2 weeks to find her a foster home or rehome.
2 yr old Plott hound cross female, 45 #. Black brindle. Housebroken, Ecollar trained, crate trained, use marker words to train commands, good with kids once boundaries established. Intact, shots and heart worm meds current. Needs a fenced yard, high energy with an off switch. Blood trailing prospect, has a spot in a training kennel in Feb. Foster with all expenses paid(my preference since the the situation is temporary, but willing to place in the right home permanently). Comes with crate and gear. Hound or working dog experience preferred.
Would also do well in c**n hunting, shed finding, Barn Hunt, or scent work. Out of WY lion/bear lines. Great recall, well behaved when worked/energy burned off/ with consistency and boundaries. Still in puppy mode, but has basic foundation training, no fear/quick recovery, and handler focused(for a hound). Rides great. Just did 3000 miles round trip, hotels, camping, kids, and driving 20 hrs each way with only gas station/bathroom/rest stop food breaks.
