‼️ THIS ‼️. A thousand times THIS. ♥️
The purchase of a well bred purebred did not sentence another dog to death.
The purchase of a well bred purebred did not cause an increase in the number of dogs in shelter.
Someone wanting a dog with a predictable temperament from healthy lineage did not cause another dog to not get adopted.
Someone's meticulous research and support of only the most responsible of breeders is not the problem. It is not what you should be mad at. It is not what you should be pushing the blame onto.
I am not the one who brought these dogs into the world irresponsibly and left them in a shelter. Responsible breeders are not the ones who put dogs into shelters.
It is my home, my life, and my choice of what kind of dog to bring into it. Maybe I needed a working dog, a sport dog, or simply a companion puppy to raise of a breed I enjoy. No matter the reason, the choice to support a reputable breeder did not send a shelter dog to its death.
A breeder who health tests, temperament tests, studies pedigrees, proves a dog worthy of being bred, and only breeds when doing so is of benefit to the breed, is not contributing to the number of homeless dogs.
The number of homeless dogs in the world is a problem, but it is not a problem exacerbated by reputable breeders and those who purchase from them.

*Your neighbor down the street who refuses to contain his unaltered dogs IS contributing to the problem.
*That friend who impulse bought a dog at Pet Land IS contributing to the problem.
*The guy on Craigslist pumping out the trendiest designer mix as fast as he can IS contributing to the problem.
*Someone’s relative who just HAS to let their dog have one litter “so she can experience motherhood” or because “she’s just so sweet” IS contributing to the problem.
*That old high school classmate who bought a high energy working breed without taking the time to research its needs and realize it was not a good fit for their household ahead of time IS contributing to the problem.

A reputable breeder offers their lifelong support. A reputable breeder would never allow their dogs to end up in a shelter to begin with. A reputable breeder makes it a contractual obligation to return dogs they have produced back to them should you find yourself unable of keeping it.
It is understandable to be angry about the number of homeless dogs in the world, but if you take a deeper look, you will find your anger is misplaced.
If you take a deeper look, you will find reputable breeders and those of us who purchase from them are just as angry, we are just pointing fingers at the right causes.

Gosh I really don’t know what’s harder???? When family loses a pet, when a friend loses a pet, when a client loses a pet, when a fellow breeder loses a pet, when my Bodacious Family loses a pet or when I lose one of mine! Today I lost a Bodacious Labrador Pup (10.5 years old). I have the sister who as well is slowing down. I have the brother boarding now who as well is slowing down. It makes me so sad to see my pups I stayed up all night with their momma Dazzle and held them first. My Bodacious family has been so good to be over the years keeping me updated on their pups and even returning to board from time to time. The older I get the harder this gig gets. Dealing with hard to find reliable employees, medical and food bills for pups are astronomical, hard to compete with the Amish and crappy breeders nearby and the endless Pa dog law changes due to dumb representatives that can’t seem to understand every time they pass a law to get the filthy rich crappy breeders they just make it harder for the small decent one to two litters a year breeders! All the Dog Warden see’s is what’s on paper and not what’s right in front of them which is dozens of dogs bred over and over again sometimes twice a year in**ed but as long as these big breeding places do what’s told on paper they can breed away! Not a lick of education needed nor does AKC help by cross referencing records to catch them cross breeding or overbreeding! As long as those litter registrations keep coming and puppy registrations which gives them millions of dollars each year they keep quiet!! Who does this damage the small breeder! We can’t afford to change our kennels every year because Senator so and so dog got hurt at a boarding facility! Perhaps that boarding facility had too many dogs? Too little people watching the dogs? Why does one incident mean every kennel in PA have to buy and install new cages just because one dog, an officials dog! If it was anyone else too bad deal with it! So something to think about when you are buying a puppy or adopting!! Go small for everything because the big are not doing us any favors!!!! I’ll miss you “Z” you were one of my best sweetheart labs ever!! You had Grandma Dora’s personality, sleep well sweet girl and run with your labrador family ❤️🐾🙏🏼

We are full!!!!! Please Help otherwise we cannot take anymore kitties!!!

We of course have been receiving a ton of requests daily (at least 10 a day) asking us to take in anything from found kittens, people looking to rehome the cats they have had for years, dogs, guinea pigs… YOU NAME IT😓 I feel like I am failing the community, failing the kitties but we just have to halt for the sake of what we have right now and resume intake at a later time.

At the moment we are at 81 cats and kittens… that’s 81 mouths to feed, 81 cats to vet, 81 homes to find (give or take).

We have 5 full time fosters, two temporary fosters & one on-site location to disperse them all, house, feed & clean every single one. IT TAKES AN ARMY, VILLAGE AND COMMUNITY‼️🚨

We hope to get some much needed adoptions here soon to decrease our numbers but RESCUE NEVER ENDSSS. I wish we could save them all, this is just not humanly possible but we are sure going to try.

ADOPT… FOSTER…. OR DONATE. CCR NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT & YOUR HELP MORE THAN EVER TO CONTINUE OUR MISSION🫶🏻🙏🏼
