The mystery of the vanishing Maricopa labradoodles came to a happy conclusion last night with tail wags, tears and a sleepy car ride back home on John Wayne Parkway.

We have a new nest box design for Elf and Pygmy Owls!

The boxes will be able to be assembled without tools and mailed out to wherever the mail carriers can take it. This is still a project in the works tweeking design, checking temps, and blogging about it during the process.

Four burrowing owls were released back into the wild in Lake Havasu City this week, after they were temporarily relocated during construction.

Monsoon season tends to come with increased raptor electrocution’s on neighborhood power poles and they usually don’t get fixed unless reported. Weather it’s because the pole is not properly insulated or the animal landed on it weird they are concerns that are better if addressed. Everyone’s overloaded with ducks and geese. The top funded facility in Arizona is no longer taking most waterfowl because of bird flu then pushing the smaller less funded facilities to now being even more overloaded. Some are in it for the animal. Some are in it for the money. None of can do it alone. We need more helpers than ever. Habitat loss is at an all time high. Donations are at an all time low. Disease is more as populations congest into smaller areas and we need more local advocates to help wildlife conservation efforts. Please help when you can. We’re all just volunteers. Thanks!
