These ladies (now coming two year old first fresheners) are currently kidding. 30 kids on the ground and another 60+ expected in the next 4-6 weeks out of these does (and the aged doe herd.) All are registered.

I apologize for the poor quality of the video...
I made it to show someone the mother of a litter of pups we have.
I’ve seen several comments lately about “buck sticks” and “hot shots” to keep your stock off of you. I prefer to use my hard working Aussies. I can have both hands free to do what needs done and I can take my eyes off the stock and turn my back...even in the pens with the big bucks. Best employees I’ve ever had... they always show up ready to work; work in all kinds of weather with no complaints; loyal to a fault and they work for kibble and loving! 🐾❤️

WHEN I AM AN OLD GOAT KEEPER
When I am an old goatkeeper, I shall wear emeralds and diamonds
And pretty cowgirl boots that are well-worn
And I shall spend my milk money
on red wine and goat treats,
And stand at the gate to their paddock
Watching them browse and forage.
I will find the time on a lazy afternoon
To grab my shepherd's staff and gather the herd
For a leisurely walk to Radford's Field
To meditate as they graze
And when folks come for a visit, I will welcome them
And show them my neglected herb garden
As we pass under the hops arbor
To pay homage to the does.
I will rake and stink and wear alfalfa in my curls
As a floral adornment
And I will be referred to by all, sometimes with sniggering jest
As 'The (crazy) Goat Lady'
But if they only knew the soul-satisfying reward
Of living and working with these beautiful animals
Who selflessly sustain the lives of many
They'd trade everything they had
To be an old goat keeper, too.
