Sonshine Acres began raising AKC Maltese in 1993 and just then began to see what a wonderful breed the maltese was. Have never regretted a day since and love how they fulfill people’s lives with joy and companionship.I can’t think of anyone or any situation that these babies wouldn’t be amazing for except maybe hunters!! They are total lovers and not hyper like many of the toy breed dogs. AND they don’t shed so don’t have a “doggie smell”.
We only raise maltese as they are our first love. Over the years we have been using very selective breeding practices , keeping rigorous detailed records , and have eliminated almost all health issues. Also have brought in more top notch bloodlines which have given us the very short snubbed black noses, gorgeous coats, round little babydoll faces, the works. We are thankful to our Lord for leading us in the right direction with maltese breeders who have coached us into producing quality, small, absolutely adorable puppies.
