With this heat coming in heavy, I have been doing some thinking on what to do to keep the pound dogs as cool as possible. I would like to get about 10 self cooling mats. They can be ordered on Amazon. If anyone would like to donate one or $$ toward the purchase of them, we would appreciate it very much!! Something like this.

🚨 URGENT NEED – Supplies Running Low! 🚨
We’re doing everything we can to keep up with the growing number of pups in our care—but we’re running low on essential supplies. If you’re able to help, here’s what we need most right now:

🐶 Puppy Food (We prefer Retriever Brand from Tractor Supply to keep their diet consistent, but ANY puppy food is appreciated!)

🧼 Cleaning Supplies

Bleach
Disposable gloves
Disinfectant spray
🗑️ Trash Bags (39+ gallon heavy-duty preferred)
Towels and blankets (used is fine!)
Dawn dish soap

Even one item from this list helps us care for the pups who’ve already been through too much.

So happy to say, we FINALLY caught the elusive dog that has been calling Elmore City home for over a year. She has been seen all over town with an entourage of boys on her heels. So many of us have been trying to gain her trust and get her into a safe place, and she has made it!!

We have some great pictures coming of all the dogs at the pound needing good homes. There are 3 new arrivals that will be vetted and ready soon, 2 female shepherd mixes around 6 months old, and 1 male lab mix.

I just wanted to put some hearts at ease with this terribly cold weather coming in. We have had some very generous donations coming in. The pound is fully tarped, we have a propane heater, each dog has a fully enclosed house full of straw. This is a temporary solution, but we are keeping them as warm as possible. Please continue to share the pictures and posts so we can get them into a loving home. Thank you to everyone who helped either by coordinating the donations, donating, sharing these posts. So many more thanks!!!
