At Bark Knight K9, every dog and every family we work with means something to us. This isn’t just training — it’s trust, commitment, and walking alongside you through challenges that can feel overwhelming at times.

Because we believe in giving each client the time, focus, and quality they deserve, we are currently unable to accept any new clients. The earliest availability for new training spots will be mid to late April.

We know how hard it can be when you’re looking for help and ready to get started right away. If you’ve reached out recently and are waiting, please know we see you, we appreciate you, and we never take that trust lightly. Turning families away — even temporarily — is not something we do casually.

Our commitment has always been to provide intentional, high-quality training rather than overextend ourselves and compromise the experience. Your dogs deserve our best, not our leftovers.

If you would like to be added to our April contact list, please send us a message and we will reach out as soon as openings become available.

Thank you for your continued support, patience, and trust in Bark Knight K9. It truly means more than you know.

🎉 Happy New Year from Bark Knight K9! 🐾

As the calendar flips, we just want to say thank you—to every human who showed up, every dog who tried their best, and every treat that bravely sacrificed itself in the name of progress.

This past year was full of wins (and a few “we’ll work on that” moments), but together we built confidence, communication, and a whole lot of better dogs—and even better humans.

Here’s to a new year of continued success, stronger bonds, wagging tails, and more dog training adventures ahead. We can’t wait to see what you and your pups accomplish next—one rep, one walk, and one victory at a time.

From our Bark Knight family to yours:
✨ Train on. Laugh often. Trust the process. ✨

🎄🐾 Merry Christmas from Bark Knight K9!

As the year wraps up (and the wrapping paper mysteriously disappears), I just want to say thank you for trusting me with your dogs. I’m incredibly grateful for every family, every pup, and every moment spent learning, growing, and celebrating progress together.

Whether your dog mastered obedience, built confidence, or simply learned that counters are not self-serve buffets, it’s been an honor being part of your journey. Your dogs work hard, your families show up, and the treats have been very well earned.

Wishing you a holiday filled with love, laughter, wagging tails, and dogs who listen… at least when snacks are involved. ❤️🐶

💤 How much sleep should your dog actually get?
Spoiler: probably more than you think. 😴🐶

Puppies, adults, seniors — every stage has different sleep needs, and making sure your dog gets enough rest is one of the easiest ways to boost confidence, behavior, and learning.

A rested dog is a smarter, calmer, happier dog.
And yes… even the “zoomie champions” need their naps. 💨🤣

Take a look at the chart below to see where your pup fits.👇
If you’re noticing too much or too little sleep, or sudden changes, feel free to message me — I’m always here to help you understand your dog better.

🚨 CALL TO ACTION for Dog Owners & Trainers in New York! 🚨

The NY Senate (Bill S.7723) and Assembly (Bill A.6985) are pushing legislation that would require all dog trainers to be licensed. On the surface, that might sound harmless — but here’s the problem:

👉 These bills would severely restrict how we’re allowed to train dogs.
👉 They create a one-size-fits-all approach that strips away flexibility.
👉 They take away YOUR right as a dog owner to choose the training style that works best for your dog.
👉 They represent government overreach without consensus, forcing an entire profession into narrow rules created by people who don’t actually train dogs.
👉 They set a dangerous precedent — if this passes in New York, other states may follow, further limiting how dogs can be trained nationwide.

I’ve personally trained hundreds of dogs using methods that would be prohibited under this legislation. Not once have I hurt a dog — in fact, my methods strengthen trust and build lasting bonds.

This isn’t about safety. It feels like a money grab for licensing fees or an idea dreamed up by people who have never actually trained a dog.

💥 If these bills pass, I (and many other trainers like me) will no longer be able to train. That means fewer options, less freedom, and ultimately more dogs left without the help they desperately need.

📢 Please contact your representatives TODAY and tell them to OPPOSE S.7723 / A.6985. Let’s keep dog training about the dogs — not about politics.

🙏 Share this post and spread the word. Our dogs, and our rights as owners and trainers, depend on it.

🎉🐾 Huge shoutout to Lisa, Barry, and the amazing Briar! 🐾🎉

Over the last few months, I’ve had the privilege of training with this powerhouse team as they prepared for their therapy dog testing and certification. Briar came in with an impressive résumé – she already graduated from STARS and nailed her Canine Good Citizen title – and from there, we just kept stacking those skills higher and higher.

Lisa and Barry put in the work. I mean HOURS of training, and it shows! I might’ve accidentally peeked at the score sheets… and let’s just say it was nothing but top marks across the board. 🏆 Oh, and did I mention? They passed on their VERY FIRST attempt. No retakes. No stress. Just pure awesome.

Now, this dream team is heading out into the world to provide comfort, support, and maybe a few thousand tail wags to people who need it most. 🌎❤️

💼 Briar’s new mission: Spreading joy.
💼 Lisa & Barry’s mission: Delivering pets on demand.
💼 My mission: Bragging about them right here.

Briar’s job perks include:
🐾 Unlimited belly rubs
🐾 Paid in treats
🐾 Flexible tail-wag schedule
🐾 All the “Who’s a good girl?” affirmations she can handle

Go get ‘em, team! 🐶✨
