DRIVE-THROUGH PET FOOD DISTRIBUTION - THIS WEDNESDAY! 🚗
We continue to be absolutely blown away by the generosity of our community. The support, the donations, and the compassion… it’s been extraordinary. 💙
Because of that outpouring, our diversion trailer is nearly full and we’re doing something we haven’t done in years: a drive-through pet food pantry to support City of Chicago pet owners impacted by the SNAP benefit pause or other financial hardships.

🕤 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
📍 Chicago Animal Care and Control, 2741 S. Western Ave
🐾 How to Enter (see map):
• Enter W. 27th Street from Western Avenue (heading east)
• Turn right (south) on S. Leavitt Street
• Turn right (west) on W. 28th Street
• Drive into our parking lot for pet food distribution
• Exit back onto Western Avenue via 28th Street
Supplies are limited and intended to help as many families as possible. One household per vehicle, with food available for up to two pets. Distribution will continue while supplies last.

UPDATE:
Only dry food will be distributed.
Dog food brands: Pedigree, Kibbles & Bits, and Nature’s Recipe.
Cat food brands: Meow Mix, Friskies, and Purina.
These brands will be available while supplies last.
You cannot reserve or request specific types of food in advance.
This event is intended to help as many families as possible.
One household per vehicle, with food available for up to two pets per household.
Distribution will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., or until supplies run out.
This event is for those that live in the City of Chicago.
We will be collecting information on voucher slips at check-in. Please bring proof of address; acceptable forms include a photo ID, utility bill, lease, ect...
Please be patient, and please be kind. We’re all in this together, and we truly appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation. Thank you for helping to keep pets with their families.
