Berry here, to bring you the weekly update.

Me and lots of my friends are getting spayed this month. This week is my turn, along with my buddy Bullet. These humans tell us we need it because we will be healthier and then we will be ready for a forever home. I would love to know what a loving, forever home is like.

But, they also said they need some help with the cost and they assure me there are really wonderful people out there that are rooting for us and want to help. So if you can please help, we would all appreciate it so we can be adopted.

So here is the human's schedule for the next couple of weeks. They are busy, but the assured me they won't forget about all of us while they are running back and forth to the vets. They will still love us and feed us. I will be keeping an eye on them.

We will be doing our first microchiping event!!!!!

When: Friday June 14th 2024
Time: 10:30am to 12
Where: Oakville Community Center during the food bank.
I will have a small already set up aways from the main food bank area, look for the neon signs.

Please RSVP with Megan Halbert or here. We are looking for 20 pets to help microchip!

Each owner must sign a release form and provide:
*Phone number
*Secondary Phone number
*Email address
*physical address

***Pets cannot be already chipped. We will scan to be sure prior to paperwork. ***

We will not be doing offering this service for litters of puppies or kittens, this is for owned pets to get a low cost chip option.

Cost: is by donation only ❤️
We are asking for a minimum of a $5 donation to our rescue program. All funds raised through chipping go straight back into helping more dogs and pet parents!
I will be accepting venmo and cash only for payment

We will also be offering small bags of dog food. Collars and name tags if needed as well❤️ we want your pets safe and identified so they can return home if lost.

I will be also be providing a suggestion box so we can gather all our community pets needs. Hopefully with that we can work together to get those needs met!

Microchipping is a very simple thing to do and will forever identify your pet as yours.

So it recently came to my attention that the Oakville food bank rarely receives pet food donations and is in real need. If anyone has pet food they would like to donate, or even a partial bag that your dog switched from and is unused, drop it by the kennel and I'll make sure it get to the pet food bank!

Do you want to help make a difference in the pets in our community?

My local town food bank helps out so much, Oakville Community Food Bank. It's all donated goods and the labor for everything is donated too. We as a community really come together to help one another.

Recently I found out the food bank never gets donations for pets! They would love to keep some pet food on hand to be able to give out when needed.
If ypu have bagged or canned pet food locally I will be collecting donations for them! Just send me a message. We have a lot of pet owners who could use the extra help every once in a while.

Your Grays Harbor Gulls FC Academy are looking for sponsors as we head into our 2024 spring season. This sponsorship will also continue throughout the summer at tournaments and into the fall of 2024. Currently we have three teams playing in the winter season, but we have a number of teams in our academy gearing up as the spring season nears aging from U9 to U14 and that is where you come in. We could use your support. Local businesses helping local youth soccer. We want our youth staying home right here at home representing Grays Harbor as we continue to help put the Harbor on the map for soccer.
