Wow… what an incredible mare❤️

Rayna is a cow-bred mare and shows up for you in every way possible. Whether it’s ranch, gaming or just some laid-back backyard fun, she always gives 100% and never quits. Her versatility is something special, and she’s got the kind of mind that makes you appreciate her more every ride.

She definitely has her sassy moments—but what mare doesn’t? 😉 And honestly, she has come such a long way since I first got her. Watching her grow and settle into herself has been so rewarding.

Most days she’s sweet, willing, and all heart… with just a touch of “feral” to keep things interesting. And that personality? It’s exactly why everyone loves her.

Rayna is truly a barn favorite and an absolute eye-catcher everywhere she goes.

We’re opening up a spot on our team as one of our long-term feeders moves on to a new opportunity! If you’re reliable, hardworking, and love working with horses, this could be the perfect fit.

✨ Why You’ll Love This Job:
• Consistent, low-hour shifts (≈2 hours each)
• Work independently
• Hands-on daily horse care
• Great for someone looking for a steady, long-term position

🛠 Your Responsibilities:
• Feeding hay, grain & supplements
• Turning horses in & out
• Water buckets (dump & refill)
• Administering medications (as directed)
• General daily horse care
🕒 Shifts:
• Weekday mornings
• Weekend mornings OR evenings
• All shifts are ~2 hours and paid for the full shift

📌 We’re Looking For Someone Who:
• Is reliable & consistent
• Can lift 30+ lbs & handle physical work
• Is comfortable working alone
• Has horse experience (preferred, will train the right person)
• Can handle barn conditions—mud, weather & occasional tricky horse moments

Horse of the month: April

🌈Meet Lenore—better known as “Lennie”! ❤️

Our little chestnut mare.
Lennie is a retired barrel horse in her early 20s. We don’t know her exact age since she’s a rescue, but she still has plenty of life left in her.
Even though her barrel racing days are behind her, Lennie loves a good trail ride and is more than happy to lead the way—usually with a speedy, excited walk.
She’s incredibly sweet and pretty laid-back with everyone, making her an easy favorite around the barn.

Horse of the month: March

🍀Lylah🍀

Lylah is an 18-year-old all black registered Paint mare — signified by her very few, very subtle splashes of white near her withers. With her sleek coat and confident stride, she turns heads wherever she goes.

Lylah was 8 years old when her owner, Cassey, got her. Cassey has trained her along the way, building a partnership that’s grown over the years. With a foundation from her show days, she still carries herself with quiet confidence and enjoys having a job to do.

These days, Lylah loves galloping around the pasture with her best friends, navigating trail obstacles, and learning new tricks. She never says no to a slice of watermelon and is always happy to soak up attention.

Playful, smart, and dependable, Lylah is a special part of the barn family!

AKA Holly Get Yer Gun 🤠

This beautiful 6-year-old American Paint was born in Halliday, North Dakota and has been with her owner for almost four years.

Holly is gentle and sweet—but don’t be fooled, she’ll happily sneak treats from your pockets if given the chance! She’s also a sucker for a good hand graze in a patch of lush grass. Since arriving at Old Stallion Hill, she’s really begun to come out of her shell, showing off her spunky personality with all of her new friends.🤍
