It's getting hot out there, but don't worry, we make sure the dogs in our care are safe by adjusting visit times, shortening outdoor time when needed, engaging with them indoors, and keeping a close eye to prevent overheating.

This time of year, it's best to avoid peak heat hours, stay in the shade, and test pavement before venturing out. Remember, our dogs don't sweat like we do, so they can overheat and burn their paws if we're not careful, which we always are!

Dear Diary,

Today was the BEST DAY EVER! My dog walker came to get me for our afternoon adventure. The second I saw her at the door, my tail started wagging so fast I thought it might fly off!

We strolled down my favorite St. Louis street, and she let me sniff all the best spots! I wanted to go another block, and she gladly obliged.

Once home, she gave me fresh water and made sure I was comfy before she left. I hope she comes back tomorrow!
