What a whirlwind of a "winter" this has been for us! Dr. Wells has little kiddos on Spring Break this week, so she'll be in the office tomorrow (Tuesday 3/24), but we'll be closed Wednesday and Thursday of this week. We'll re-open for regular hours next Monday, 3/30. In the meantime, you're welcome to schedule your appointments online as we do have availability next week. If you have an emergency or need medical advice about your pet, please contact VetTriage (link is on our website).

AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCY CARE UPDATE – KITTITAS VALLEY

Bless This Pet Veterinary Clinic is now offering AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCY COVERAGE.

HOW IT WORKS
All after-hours calls are first screened by VetTriage for a $50 flat fee.
A licensed veterinarian will assess your pet by phone or video and determine whether:
• Care can wait until business hours
• You should go to the nearest ER
• Or a local on-call veterinarian should be contacted

HOW TO ACCESS CARE
• Visit https://vettriage.com/ or click the link on our website
• Click “Start Your Session”
• Pay the $50 triage fee
• Connect immediately with a veterinarian

If a local veterinarian is needed and available, you’ll be directed to the clinic they are covering that night—please follow instructions carefully so you don't show up to the wrong vet clinic!

We're only able to offer this care through a cooperative effort with Valley Veterinary Hospital, Ellensburg Animal Hospital, and Mt. Stuart Animal Hospital.
Without this cooperation, Kittitas Valley risked losing after-hours ER care entirely. While this isn’t a 24/7 ER, it’s a critical step in preserving emergency access for our community and Dr. Wells and her team are so happy to be able to help.

We've had a blessed year and we hope you can say the same!
We'll be out of office for the next 2 weeks, opening again for regular business hours starting on 1/5/2026.
Next Monday and Tuesday (12/29/25 and 12/30/25) we'll have the phones on for a few hours so we can make some calls and schedule for the new year, but don't forget you can also make online requested appointments as well from our website.

Meet our new clinic kitten, Gus Gus! 🐭

A few weeks ago we received a surprise drop-off of a kitten in need at our back door. We'll spare you details of his original condition, but he's fully recovered now and we've all fallen in love with him. Some of you may have met him already and he's regularly helping to check in new appointments. We just wanted to share some highlights of his favorite sleeping positions. Growing up is so hard!

It's turkey time again! We'll be closing at 2:30 on 11/26 (day before Thanksgiving) and closed on Thanksgiving so our team can celebrate with family.
We know it's really tempting to share your holiday meals with your furry family, but remember that their tummies can't handle the sudden new foods and the extra seasonings and fats we have in our holiday meals. Since we'll be closed, best to avoid an ER trip out of town by avoiding sharing those meals with your pets. Also remember to keep the garbage nice and secured so they don't go dumpster diving either!

We're celebrating our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! We're so proud to be able to carry on the mission Dr. McFadden started almost 30 years ago with Critter Care. A lot of people have asked over the year where we got the name for "Bless This Pet Vet Clinic" and I like to say it's my little prayer for every animal that walks through our doors. It's our honor to be trusted with your animals' medical care and we're so thankful for the community we get to be a part of.

Did you know that PRCA rodeos can't happen without a vet present? Just like they can't happen without emergency services for the human athletes present, the animal athletes are top priority, too. The night before the Cle Elum Roundup Association Rodeo, we got a worried call that the vet they had lined up wouldn't be able to make it! Knowing how valuable it is to have these events in our community and knowing no other vet in the valley could commit either, Dr. Wells and her husband dropped their 13th year wedding anniversary plans to vet at the rodeo. We're glad Daniel Beard Rodeo has excellent stock athletes and no one needed her help even if she was prepared to do so!
