Toby needs a home and being a sweet dog he needs a partner (human friend) to teach home the social and survival graces. Foster to find out and apply to help a good dog have a good life. 😉🐶

Poor Toby. No one wants to give him a foster or forever home. 🥺 He is still stuck in boarding with no applications or interest in him. 💔 He is a very good boy. He gets along with dogs, loves all people and is well mannered. We believe he is house broken (unsure as his entire life he’s been in the shelter systems). A 3 year old dog who has only known a shelter environment, is so sad. ☹️ Won’t someone break him out and at least consider fostering him? HSO covers ALL expenses. We can possibly send him out on a transport but that would only keep him in the “system” even longer. 😪 Please, someone, we’re begging you, help Toby. 😭

Again, there is truly nothing wrong with Toby. He’s good with dogs, people (including children), seems to be potty trained, he’s crate trained, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated & neutered. Remember, HSO covers all costs if you’re fostering Toby

Six-year-old Fawkes had a rough start before coming to our Sanctuary due to untreated medical problems, but she has blossomed after receiving proper medical care. 👏

Fawkes is a ✨ total sweetheart ✨ who loves to go for walks, play with toys, and hang out with people. She's a bit of a couch potato, so she would be happy to chill at home most days with the occasional leisurely adventure.

In the woods near you now!!

Trout-lilies (Erythronium spp.) are some of the first native species to bloom in spring. The common name refers to the mottled green and purple leaves, reminiscent of speckled trout. Other common names include fawn lily and dog-tooth violet, the latter referring to the plants' small white bulbs that resemble a dog’s tooth. Trout-lilies are often found growing in large colonies and are known to sequester phosphorous; when the plants die-back, they enrich the soil around them. “Pets, it turns out, also have last wishes before they die, but only known by veterinarians who put old and sick animals to sleep. Twitter user Jesse Dietrich asked a vet what was the most difficult part of his job.

The specialist answered without hesitation that it was the hardest for him to see how old or sick animals look for their owners with the eyes of their owners before going to sleep. The fact is that 90 % of owners don't want to be in a room with a dying animal. People leave so that they don't see their pet leave. But they don't realize that it's in these last moments of life that their pet needs them most.

Veterinarians ask the owners to be close to the animals until the very end. ′′It's inevitable that they die before you. Don't forget that you were the center of their life. Maybe they were just a part of you. But they are also your family. No matter how hard it is, don't leave them.

Dont let them die in a room with a stranger in a place they dont like. It is very painful for veterinarians to see how pets cannot find their owner during the last minutes of their life. They dont understand why the owner left them. After all, they needed their owner’s consolation.

Veterinarians do everything possible to ensure that animals are not so scared, but they are completely strangers to them. Don't be a coward because it's too painful for you. Think about the pet. Endure this pain for the sake of their sake. Be with them until the end.”

Meet Tucker!
Tucker is a sweet boy who comes to us from relief of a local shelter in NWA. He is a good boy and very well behaved. Tucker loves to play with other dogs. He is a lab mix, he's about 1 year old & about 50 #. Tucker is also fully vetted (vaccinated, neutered, heartworm tested negative & microchipped). Tucker would love a family with another dog to play with or an active family to take him on hikes, walks or runs!

Sweet Tommy Cat is still searching for a forever home! He is such a sweet boy and very affectionate and cuddly. Tommy is fully litter box trained, about 10-11 weeks old, & vetted as far as he can be (started kitten vaccines, & microchipped).
