We hope everyone had a safe memorial day!

Everyone knows the Fourth of July is coming up fairly quickly, so we are just wanting to remind everyone that now is the time to call your veterinarian (even if it is not us) to get your pet's anxiety medication refilled!

Do not wait until the end of June or the first of July to get them filled! We need to have time to get appointments for those of you who need to be seen before medications can be filled.

Make sure your pet (if microchipped) has all the information updated and have a well identified collar or tag on them in case they get scared and leave the yard!

We will be checking voicemails and text messages to be able to fill those medications if needed. Just give us the name on your account, your pet's name, and we will get back with you as soon as we can!

PSA:

One of our beloved clients unfortunately had a visitor over and they accidently let out their senior terrier mix, Maggie.
Maggie is an older terrier mix, black and tan in color, about 20 pounds, and is on several medications for various health conditions.

She was last seen today (May 9th, 2025) around 3:00pm by Highland Park in Elkins, off Kennedy Street by North School.

Maggie IS microchipped, however, she was recently taken in by a friend of her original owner, after the owner became sick. So the microchip information has not been updated to the new owners information yet.

She needs her medications multiple times a day, so the quicker she is found the better! Please call the clinic if you think you have seen her, and we will get you in contact with her current owner.

It has come to our attention that the microchip company SAVE THIS LIFE, has closed unexpectedly. We have used this microchip company for many years with no issues until recently. After contacting the company that we purchase the SAVE THIS LIFE microchips from, they are advising that owners re-register the microchips for their pets. The SAVE THIS LIFE microchip is universal and there are no quality or safety concerns with the physical chip itself. There are several options to re-register your SAVE THIS LIFE microchip. Some do require a fee to register while others do offer free registration. We have found the following companies that will register the SAVE THIS LIFE microchips. We are sorry for this inconvenience. Good morning!
Due to impending weather, the clinic will be closing at noon on Friday, November 22nd.
We have attempted to get ahold of everyone on the schedule that this may affect, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
As of now, we will still be open today, Thursday, November 21st, until 5pm as planned.

Please let us know if you are unable to make it to your appointment due to road conditions, and we will get you rescheduled.

One of our clients has this lovely cat that recently showed up on their covered porch. They believe it is a female and think she is declawed in the front. The cat is a darker gray color with some white, and it was wearing a purple collar, maybe a type of flea collar.
The cat is currently hanging around White Calf Lane in Elkins, but the clients that were able to get a picture of her have not gotten her caught yet. They plan to try to catch her and bring her in to be checked for a microchip but wanted us to post her picture in hopes her owner may be able to be located.

If you recognize this sweetheart, please send us a text message to 304-637-2400 and let us know it is in regard to the found cat. We are NOT trying to find a new home for this cat, we are trying to find her owners. Please only send us a message if you know who she may belong to!
