You know what time it is... It's Meet the Team Thursday!

We are very fortunate to have Dr. Terry Johnson helping us out on Friday afternoons. Dr. Terry actually works at our Clinton location and has been there since 2021. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago he graduated from Kansas State Veterinary School in 1978. He worked and was an owner at Chalet Veterinary Clinic in Stoughton for 42 years before joining us!

Dr. Terry Johnson lives in Edgerton with his wife Karen and their golden retriever Hudson. He has 3 children (Elizabeth, Kristin, and Philip), and 3 grandchildren (Grant, Evelyn, and Ethan). In his free time he enjoys golf, spending time with family, and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Kicking off our Meet the Team series- after our short intermission- is Dr. Sam!

Dr. Samuel Ruch is a mixed animal veterinarian with strong professional interests in both surgery and internal medicine. He is deeply passionate about animal health and wellness, a dedication that stems from his childhood growing up as a veterinarian's son.

Dr. Ruch earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in January 2024.
Outside of his time in the office, Dr. Ruch enjoys an active lifestyle and values quality time spent with his family, friends, and his dog, Matilda. His personal hobbies include exercising, golfing, fishing, and camping.

Unfortunately, Dr. Sam is only with us on Thursdays as he helps out at several of our other locations throughout the week, but we are so glad he's apart of our team!

It's Whisker Wednesday!

Did you know cat's "adjust the position of their whiskers in relation to how they're feeling. For example, a relaxed cat's whiskers are slightly curved with some distance between each one. Stressed cats may press their whiskers back against their face. UPDATE: They have been ADOPTED! Thank you for all of your help! Although sad to part from their furbabies, their original owners are so glad they have found a new furever home🐾💕

Help us find a home for Marshmallow and Snickerdoodle! They are two very sweet kitties that are looking for a new home to call their own.

Happy Meet the Team Thursday! We're so excited for you to meet... Dr. Maegan!

Hi everyone! I’m Dr. Maegan!

I joined the Animal Clinic of Elkhorn in June 2026 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2026. Although I've only been here for about six weeks, I've truly loved every minute. It has been such a joy getting to know all of our wonderful clients and their pets. Building relationships with you and your furry family members is so far one of my favorite parts of being a veterinarian, and I'm looking forward to continuing to care for this amazing community for years to come.

When I'm not at the clinic, you'll usually find me spending time at my family's cabin up north, helping raise cattle and working on our family farm, or making memories with family and friends.

I feel incredibly grateful to be part of the Animal Clinic of Elkhorn team and can't wait to meet more of you and your pets!
