Here at The Pampered Pup, I spend my days with special dogs. Today, I want to introduce you to an extra special one, Oscar. I met Oscar in November. I groom his sisters, Pippy and Paisley and he was lovingly brought into their family a few months ago. He is an American Cocker Spaniel mix. He is 9 years old and spent his entire life (up until 2023) in a puppy mill when he was rescued along with 25 other pups. During his first 9 years, he never had the chance to learn to stand. He never had the chance to learn to walk. He couldn’t even express his despair as his vocal chords had been cut. He is nearly blind and deaf. However, Oscar needs no pity. With loving devotion from his family (and especially his sister Paisley), Oscar has learned to stand, walk, and play with the most easy going and loving disposition. He even loves every part of the grooming process - including his nail trims! Enjoy this sweet face, use your unique gifts to help others, and always count your blessings - I know Oscar does ❤️
