Faithful Friends Pet Cremation Services Provide pet cremation for those who have lost a special member of their family Sometimes it seems that no one understands you better.

~Honoring a Faithful Life~

No relationship is as unique as the one you have with your faithful pet companion. Writer Martin Buber once said, "An animal's eyes have the power to speak a great language." When natural aging, injury, or illness claims the life of your faithful friend, you may feel you have few options for saying good-bye in a sensitive, loving way that truly expresses your feelings f

or your beloved companion.

~Forever in your heart~

At Faithful Pet Friends Pet Cremation Services, we believe in the uniqueness of that bond you have with them--in many ways, a bond just as strong as any you might have with a human family member. That’s why Faithful Friends exists: to provide compassionate after-care services that honor your relationship with and the life of your faithful companion. Located in Elkhart County, we've been serving the northern Indiana community since 2004.

Update: These kittens have been placed!

This is a courtesy post to help an individual find homes for two kittens he has been taking care of since discovering mom and her litter. These little tabby tigers, believed to be a male and a female, could be a great pair to keep together for lots of play. Certainly available individually, or together. Contact Bill at 574-215-2888. Thank you!!

Join Our Cat Foster Program!

Our cat foster program currently has just over 20 active foster homes, and with a busy season ahead, we’re setting an exciting goal: 40 foster families!

We’ll provide everything you need—food, supplies, and support. All we ask is for you to open your home and heart to a furry friend in need.

Apply online today or visit our shelter on February 1st for an open house to learn more.

PS: If you’re more of a dog person, we are also looking to add foster families to take unweaned puppies and adult dogs.

This Saturday, the 18th, there is an adoption event from 12-1. These pretty girls will be there along with all of their friends! ❤️

We are still in need of empty litter pails if anyone has some to spare. 😸 You can bring them during the event or drop them off outside the rescue throughout the week.

The Humane Society of Elkhart County (HSEC) is at full capacity after responding to a large-scale hoarding case over the weekend. Nearly two dozen dogs were brought into the shelter as part of an active investigation, and additional dogs are expected to arrive later this week. To help ease the overcrowding, HSEC is waiving all dog adoption fees through February 15 and urging the community to adopt, foster, donate, or share their message.

"We are doing everything we can to provide care for these dogs, but with so many animals in our shelter, we need the community’s help now more than ever," said Rob LaRoy, Executive Director.

In addition to adoptions, HSEC is also calling for foster homes. Temporary placements provide relief to the shelter while giving dogs a chance to decompress in a home environment, while all expenses are paid by HSEC. Those interested can fill out a foster application on the HSEC website, and the foster coordinator will follow up with next steps.

With an influx of animals, the shelter's costs have also surged, especially for medical care. Community donations help provide food, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and veterinary treatments for animals in need. Those who are unable to adopt or foster are encouraged to donate to support the care of these animals.
For those looking to help in any way, HSEC urges the public to spread the word. By adopting, fostering, donating, or simply sharing HSEC’s message, the community can make a life-changing impact for these animals.

We love all adoption but seeing Stormy find a forever home after 11 months with us, really makes us happy.

We’re also so grateful that the adoption fee was waived thanks to Cathy Bissell and BISSELL Pet Foundation to make this adoption possible.

All adoption fees are waived for animals over one year old, now through October 15th during our event.
