Here at Canvasback Retrievers we breed quality, health tested, Labrador Retrievers in all colors. We are avid hunters, run hunt tests and strive to pair dogs that will produce wonderful hunting dogs and family companions. We have a mix of hunt tests and show ring titles. We feed Life's Abundance food to all of our animals. We also use some of the human products for ourselves. When we switched, we

were skeptical. We were skeptical because over the years I have had people pitch it to me and it was one of those businesses that pays commission based on rank and your down line and some other things.... That was literally the only thing. Well... I swear to you I wish I had looked past that and just tried it! Our moms do better on it, puppies are healthy with firm stool, less p**p, shiny, energetic, big dogs and the cat doesn't shed as much, The cat's acne and sore healed up, less ear and eye goo, the list goes on! Because of this dramatic increase in health, we also decided to be a Life's Abundance Representative. This allows us to be one of the genuine spokes people for this wonderful company and help others find the benefits we have found in it's products. At this point in our breeding career, we aim to help our puppies be healthy, but also to help anyone who has an existing pet find something to help them live a healthy and comfortable life!

I know it's a bit out there for a breeder to foster dogs and work with a rescue. I can't explain how much better Midnight is doing now (emotionally and physically) with puppies to play with. She would have been "OK" without them, but they learn so much from interacting with their litter mates. It was the right choice for us, and I think she is better off because of it. The fosters are enjoying a stable environment with multiple meals and a warm place to sleep, too. ❤️

Surprise! We are over a month post c section, and Belle had a suture reaction. She needed to be cleaned and stapled up again. Thankfully, it was just the skin and her abdominal wall had already closed up tight.

Happy to announce Middie (our puppy) is going to try her paw at some service work with her forever family. She will be here for a bit past 8 weeks to work on potty training and some obedience before going home. We hope this makes the transition easier for her new family.

We're keeping Lola and her puppies separate from our dogs for about a week. We need to make sure they don't start to show symptoms of anything. That doesn't mean we don't get pictures, though. After being denied by multiple dog rescues for being a breeder and having non altered dogs.... We found a rescue that was willing to give us a chance after a good reference from our vet. Shout out to No Dog Left Behind!

We have been diligently scrolling through the dogs that need fosters, hoping to find some that were about our singleton, middie's age.

I am excited to share that we found some! We will be fostering Lola and 2 puppies. Puppies are named Marlee and Asher! If all goes as planned, we pick them up today.

We will be inviting people over to snuggle puppies once the vetting is done on our fosters and momma settles in a little more.

If you want to snuggle puppies, learn the importance of the first 12 weeks of a puppy life, help some under dogs catch up with socialization, talk dogs and share stories, keep you're eyes peeled. We will be inviting people over to help us socialize these babies.

The best part is there's no obligation to anything besides puppy kisses.
