The Tack Room at Open Sky

The Tack Room at Open Sky "The Tack Room at Open Sky" is a place to enjoy good company and good horses. We welcome family and friends. Bring wine!!

The Tack Room was completed in the Spring of 2013. It is intended for the enjoyment of the proprietors of Open Sky as well as friends and family. We are open to leasing the facility for events, trainings, lessons (trainer available upon request), and various other things. We will post photos and news from Open Sky, horse shows, etc.

We took this year off on the show circuit due to a fractured coffiin bone with Spotz Royal Blue. He had to be put on stall rest for 5 months to heal and is now fully recovered. He will return to the circuit in 2017 for sure. We have been showing for so many years, and this "break" gave us a chance to travel, see friends, and enjoy time around the property with all of our horses this summer.

Getting ready for the winter months now - pool is closed, blankets getting cleaned, heated water buckets out of storage, new hay in the barn, manure pile has been taken away - yay!!

Getting ready for winter - haybarn is getting full, horses are shaggy, heaters are installed and ready to go, and it is 60 degrees in November in Minnesota!! Love it...hope it lasts just a few more weeks....

Welcome Lola (Sheeza Show Girl) to Open Sky. She is a yearling Pinto Saddlebred that we adopted. She needs some groceries but other wise is pretty healthy. Super sweet and quiet. We are in love with her already.

Spotz Royal "Blue" has officially earned Saddle Type High Point Horse for MNPtHA 2013. Plus is Class high point for 6 class's including Show Hack and P/S Discipline Rail English.

Very proud to officially announce that Spotz Royal "Blue" is the P/S High Point for the Jubilee of Color show that took place the end of September. Due to a computer calculation error it wasnt announced at the show but we are thrilled to accept the title now. He has preformed so well this year with so many new classes we couldnt be happier with him. Such a good boy. He is enjoying some down time now. Thanks to Jenna Jarboe Training, Jenna Jarboe for all your work with Blue this year.
