Just want to say a huge Thank You to the thoughtful folks at The Commons Senior Living for donating hand made blankets for our hospitalized patients. We so appreciate their hard work and thoughtfulness!

Woof times 8 - assistance is needed; we were abandoned in a rural area with no indication of our mother's presence, courtesy of an irresponsible individual. Fortunately, a young man photographing nature discovered us and intervened. Initially, plans were made to transfer us to a Doberman Pinscher rescue organization, but instead, we will be adopted through WAR after being spayed/neutered. We are currently awaiting the processing of four applications, after which the remaining four will be posted. We appreciate your patience as the rescue organization attends to our vaccination, microchipping, flea treatment, and deworming. We eagerly anticipate meeting prospective adopters - can you provide a forever home for me? To the individual responsible for abandoning us, we offer support rather than judgment; kindly consider spaying your female dog to prevent further unwanted litters.

Please submit an application to wiltonanimalrescue.com

We look at submitted applications

Hello ,

We’re excited to share several fundraising initiatives to support Wilton Animal Rescue!

First up, Stephanie Bruce, the owner of Henhouse Coffee Co , in Wilton, CA outside the post office, invites you to stop by this Thursday for the start of the our giving tree. Grab a coffee from her, you won’t be disappointed!! There, you’ll find a Christmas tree donated by Rustic Roots (If you need a Christmas tree head over to them for fresh trees!! ) adorned with the faces of our rescue dogs. If you are up to it, you can pick a pup off the tree and donate a Christmas gif for one or two pups of your choice!

Next, check out a beautiful wreath created by Kristina Cruz-Lozano, currently on display at Sky River Casino. Show your support by visiting the casino and voting daily until December 31. Your vote is free, and every little bit helps! (To donate go to the sky river desk for details, we along with the pups appreciate you)

Last but not least, TODAY also marks Giving Tuesday, and we are thrilled to participate. We truly appreciate any financial assistance you can provide to help us care for the dogs at Wilton Animal Rescue in California. Our annual expenses can be quite significant, including thousands spent on gas for tracking lost dogs and rising medical costs. To help manage expenses, we administer vaccines in-house and ensure all our dogs are microchipped. Your donation would make a tremendous difference, and we encourage you to look for matching donation opportunities. We hope local businesses will join us in our mission to rescue lost dogs in our community.

Visit our Giving Tuesday page to make your donation today: [https://givingtuesday.mightycause.com/organization/Wilton-Animal-Rescue](https://givingtuesday.mightycause.com/organization/Wilton-Animal-Rescue).

Together, we can change lives!

Thank you to everyone of the community members and organizations helping give back to our beautiful pups!

Sharing this post written by a colleague and worth sharing....

THIS WAS WRITTEN BY ANOTHER VETERINARIAN BUT ABSOLUTELY THE TRUTH!*** So please shop local and either purchase in office (where sometimes you receive better rebate offers) or go to our website and you can have medication, prescription diets, etc sent directly to your home! Many times we are cheaper than Chewy! And that dollar amount at the end gets reinvested back into the practice to make for even better care for your pets in regards to continuing education, employees, diagnostics and treatment options. SHOP LOCAL!

***The next time anyone wants to complain about vet prices, consider this.
I just spent 30 minutes going through Chewy prescriptions, approving most, denying a few that were wrong size, etc. These are all medications I sell in my practice.
I have to do roughly 30 minutes of work so Chewy can make a sale and profit.
I totaled up all the meds: if we had dispensed all the prescriptions the total would come to $476.82.
Chewy price came to $461.38 for all.
So your local vet just did 30 minutes of work without pay so that owners could save $17.44 between 5 owners.
That’s almost $500 in one day. For a small business, that comes out to almost $120,000 a year. So your local vet is working every day for chewy. Every single day.
So when your vaccine costs go up, and surgery goes up, and you have to wait for vet services, or your local practice has been bought up by a corporation, this is a big part of the problem.
Buy small. Support small businesses, including your local vet.
