Help Wanted: Kennel Technician/Maintenance

We are seeking a Kennel Technician/Maintenance to join our team at Waggin Tails Dog Resort. This position requires a strong understanding of dog and cat care, as well as a willingness to work up to 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities:

- Cleaning dog and cat kennels
- Bathing dogs
- Performing janitorial duties, including dishwashing and laundry
- Handling, feeding, and caring for animals in the kennel
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- Demonstrating physical ability to lift objects weighing over 25 to 50 pounds regularly
- Working in a noisy environment
- Multitasking and switching tasks as needed
- Working independently with self-motivation
- Customer relations, including assisting with dog check-in and check-out procedures
- Maintenance, w**d eating, mowing, and general repairs

Compensation:

Pay is contingent upon experience and qualifications.

Saturday 8/16/25 we had a pawrty. Nora Hutton asked to bring her friends out to pet some dogs and volunteer for her birthday. It was perfect timing to have the extra help here. Bridging Hope sent over the first load of a awesome donation. Red & Joyce Johnson delivered the load and the girls went to work. The girls were great help and the dogs loved getting the special attention.

Lovey needs a special home. She is approaching 6 months old, her estimated date of birth is 05/30/24 and she will be a big girl. Due to the double dew claws I believe she is at least part Great Pyrenees but there must have been a Border Collie or Aussie tossed in for good measure. Lovey is good with other dogs but doesn’t understand her own size and plays hard. Lovey will need an owner willing to put the time into guiding her actions until she learns self control. Her crate training, leash walking and sit command is going good.

Lovey was in a foster to adopt home but the family didn’t have the time to train her and she was being way to much big puppy for them. This is why I use a house line and crate until training is well done.

To adopt Lovey a fenced yard and a crate will be a must. A good understanding of working dogs and willingness to spend time training. All of your pets must be current on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. Lovey has all of her shots and will be spayed before she goes to her new home.

Please help me find her a great forever home.
