Happy Birthday 🎂 to the Stone & Reindeer litter! The🦌 litter was born yesterday and the 💎 litter was born today ONE year ago. It was a very busy holiday season last year with so many wonderful memories! We are thinking of you all and hope you get spoiled with love and gifts this holiday season!

Olive & her daughter, Nutmeg! Do you think they look alike? I am taking Olive to the vet today for another progesterone test (Nutmeg came along for the ride!). We predicted that Olive ovulated yesterday. Today's test will hopefully confirm that🤞

✅ Why does ovulation matter to us?

Ovulation is when the female dog releases eggs followed by becoming mature enough for fertilization. S***m can survive for several days, but the eggs only remain viable for a short time. Therefore, breeding around ovulation gives the best chance of having a successful canine pregnancy 💯 👌

NEWSFLASH! 🎉 Olive is in heat now!! We will be taking her to our repro vet for an exam and start progesterone testing soon prior to breeding her with Jasper.

Hopefully, we have some good news to share with everyone!🤞

Pet Partners gave us ANOTHER official stamp of approval to be a therapy team together! This means we now have two therapy dogs in our program (Mango & Olive) ✨️

🤔 How we got here:

1.) I trained Olive and she got titled in CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and CGCA (Advanced Canine Good Citizen) through American Kennel Club 🐾

2.) I took an 8 hour handler course in person and test online 🐾

3.) I scheduled a 1 hour evaluation with Pet Partners, where they evaluate us both in person 🐾

4.) I registered to become members of Denver Pet Partners and Pet Partners 🐾

5.) The last step would be to shadow another volunteer dog therapy team and be shadowed for guidance before going off on our own 🐾

Step 1 is not required, but we wanted to make sure Olive had excellent obedience training in preparation to volunteer 😊 We recommend this because the training needed to become a therapy dog team is very similar to the training needed to pass CGC and CGCA evaluations.

Happy Halloween 🎃 We are heading to the hospital to volunteer! Mango just got a bath 🛁. That's why her head is still slightly wet. She has to smell fresh for patients ❤️
