This page is volunteer created and managed to assist the Elizabeth Animal Shelter in finding forever homes for their animals and assessing any of their needs. All of the information comes from volunteers helping the ACOs and the animals of the shelter. If you have any specific questions, please contact the shelter directly at the contact information we have provided.

render an animal, the Elizabeth Animal Shelter is a kill shelter. If you have lost your animal you have 7 days to reclaim the animal, after the 7 days he/she will be up for adoption, if deemed un-adoptable and nothing more can be done, the shelter will have to take on different measures.

Drum rolllllll!!! Our little guy found in Wawa is finally adopted!! Thank you to everyone who had first hand involvement with him, the foster, the people that shared him and worried about him. Our prayers have been answered. He’s now safe in his new family ❤️

Dog that was found at Wawa in Elizabeth needs to secure a foster. He’s at the shelter currently and the shelter has no cages for dogs. They are only holding him for 7 days or another dog’s times up. Consider someone please fostering him so that we can give the other dogs time.

He is about 1 year old
Vaccinated with rabies and distemper
He loves people and is great on leash. Loves walks and did well in his groom.
He prefers to be the only pet in the home.
