🌟 A HUGE Thank You from ABTK9! 🌟

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to our K.I.D.S Club Open House tonight! Despite the weather, your support and enthusiasm made it an amazing evening. 🐾💙

ABTK9 is so excited to help inspire the next generation of dog lovers, trainers, and animal advocates, because the future of the canine world starts with our youth! 🐶✨

A special shout-out to Officer Carawan with the Camden County Sheriff's Office - NC and K9 Sparrow for showing off Sparrow’s incredible explosives detection skills 💥👃🏼 you two truly wowed the crowd!

We also want to thank Dr. Rigler from Eastern Shore Animal Hospital for sharing her time and expertise, and Brenda with Brenda Barks Animal Rescue for joining in on the fun and supporting our mission.

This handsome man gave it his all during day training today! Jesco truly is a man of many trades, whether he’s chasing that FAST Cat lure, sniffing out victory in Barn Hunt 🐭, or serving as our delivery specialist 🗞️ (he takes pride in bringing little notes to his favorite people 🤭), he does it all with heart and style.

We’re so proud of the effort and focus he brought today, always ready to learn and eager to please.

🐾 Welcome Jacob! 🐾

Everyone help us give a warm ABTK9 welcome to Jacob, this handsome boy came from Bertie County Humane Society and is currently in a loving Foster-to-Adopt home! ❤️

Jacob is here working on some behavioral modification, and we’re already so proud of his progress! His very first session went great, he was incredibly receptive and eager to learn. 🧠✨

Unfortunately, poor Jacob has also tested Heartworm Positive 💔. His foster family is doing everything they can to help him through treatment and recovery.

🐾 Training is a Journey, Not a Race! 🐾

Dog training isn’t always picture-perfect, there will be hiccups, distractions, and the occasional “oops” moment (or five 😅). But that’s okay! The most important part is to enjoy the process and make it a fun, positive experience for your dog.

Every session is a chance to build trust, strengthen your bond, and celebrate the little victories, even if it’s just holding a “down” a few seconds longer or checking in with you instead of that squirrel 🐿️.

Remember, your dog doesn’t care about perfection, they care about connection. 💛

If you ever feel stuck or just want some guidance, we’re here to help!

🎃🐾 Sweet Ember stopped by ABTK9 for a spooktacular spa day! 👻✨

She enjoyed a full de-shed and relaxing bath to freshen up and get her coat silky-smooth just in time for the fall season. 🍁🛁 Her Halloween bandana completes the look, because even the prettiest pups deserve a little festive flair!

We absolutely adore this happy girl and her big smile, she’s clearly ready to trick-or-treat us all with her cuteness! 🍬🐶

What an amazing day at Dog Fest 2025! 🐾
ABTK9 had an absolute blast being a part of this year’s Dog Fest and celebrating everything we love most — dogs, training, and community!

From brave pups tackling our agility course to wagging tails and smiling faces all around, the energy was nothing short of incredible. 💛 We’re so thankful to be part of such an amazing dog community and to support the Tri-County Animal Shelter - Tyner, NC & AWARE, and all the incredible work they do for local pets in need.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, ran through the course, and shared their stories with us. Days like this remind us how strong our community truly is when we come together for the dogs! 🐾💙

Until next time, keep training, playing, and loving those pups! 🐕✨

When Captain first came to training, he had every reason to be unsure of himself. Born with a leg deformity, even simple things like walking on smooth floors or stepping onto new surfaces felt scary and uncertain for him. Every movement took courage.

After a few sessions, Ashley noticed that Captain’s biggest obstacle wasn’t his ability — it was his confidence. She suggested trying something that might help him feel more stable and secure… traction pads for his paws.

And that small change made a huge difference. 🌟

With those traction stickers giving him better grip, Captain began to bloom. He started walking with his head higher, exploring new textures, and trusting himself a little more each day. But one thing still terrified him, the agility tunnel. The strange sound, the movement, and the unfamiliar feel under his paws were just too much.

Until tonight. 🥹

Tonight, Captain found his courage. With encouragement, patience, and the confidence he’s been building, he took a deep breath (and a deep tail wag) and charged through that tunnel. Then he did it again.. faster, braver, and with pure joy in his eyes.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. His owner and Ashley both shed real tears watching him do something that once seemed impossible. ❤️

Captain reminded us all that progress doesn’t come from perfection, it comes from believing in yourself, one brave step at a time.

We couldn’t be prouder of this incredible boy. 🐾

💚 Today was a special day at ABTK9 💚

We got to see our sweet Quinn again. Many of you remember him from training. A few weeks ago, he suffered a spinal cord stroke (fibrocartilaginous embolism, or FCE) and has been on a tough road to recovery.

Seeing him today, tail wagging and full of heart, reminded us exactly why we do what we do. These dogs aren’t just clients, they’re family. 🖤

We’re so proud of you, Quinn. Keep fighting, buddy. You’ve got a whole team cheering you on. 💪🐾

And Josie, you’re the best sister a guy could have. ❤️
