Believe it or not, it's actually how I got into Border Collies, aside from a children's book. I went out on actual geese patrol as a kid with a Farmer across the way from our farm. He was hired by the golf courses of Pinehurst, NC to come out and patrol courses with his Border Collies. His were Scottish imports and were wildly driven dogs. Some only he could touch. He took me along when he saw how intrigued I was by the dogs he had, as well as my strong interest in learning more about herding. I was 10 years old at the time. But I absolutely knew then and there it was the only dog I ever wanted to raise with my heart and soul in it.

Murphy the Golden Retriever came for his groom. He also Boards and comes to Daycamp as well. His groom was very much needed as he is a swimming dog and almost daily is in the water. His bath,nails and full brush out and coat thinning was $60 total.

A absolutely beautiful afternoon with the Boarding dogs and the Sheltie/BC crew
Board is $49 a night and yes they get to take trips, some on leash of course. 🙂Boarding within the Home and as much fun or relaxing as they enjoy. All ages,all kinds of kinds. No Mean or evil ill willed dogs towards dogs allowed.

What a Long day! Yes Daycamp and some boarding dogs hiked up our local famous Mountain. They were not pleased to see the Heavy drought has taken a severe toll on the local streams. I hiked water up with us. But they really missed their typical swimming spots for sure. We did a 2 mile run that morning and then the hike. This is why I interview dogs before allowing to join Daycamp. Its not just a walk, I know owners that won't even take their dog on a hike much less both a run and a hike.

Moving forward a new rule here at ShadowHill Daycamp and Boarding dogs. Iv been wanting to implement this for a few weeks. Every dog that has earned freedom for recall off leash privileges will need to be fitted with a tracker. Example (Fi Collar, GPS collar, Air Tag, Amazon version of Air Tag, basically a form of tracking for the dog fitted to its collar.) Or the dog will no longer be allowed off leash,therefore limiting their fun. Im allowing 3 weeks for this. This is to protect the dogs should as we go forward with recall training, and freedom fun,the dogs still are animals and can absolutely decide to act against a ecollar, voice command,or just spook from gun fire,or chase a deer, or get disoriented off trail. Having a tracker will atleast allow the dog to be found in much quicker timing than a naked dog. I understand some may think (oh well they do not need it,they will never run off). There is a couple in Kittery at this very moment and they were walking their dog and had said the same thing, guess what that dog is now missing for almost 48 hours with only one siting. DONT LET THAT BE YOU! Its at this point with so many tracking options common sense to apply them to your pets! Cats and Dogs!!!!

My extremely fabulous and lovely Monday and Tuesday Daycamp groups! So many trips and fun places to take in. They are really turning into 2 very smart groups of dogs. Still always learning and always working on things. Remember training does not ever stop, it only gets easier and more fun as you advance with your dog!!!!

Miss Blossum a female Blue Merle Australian Shepard got her a groom today after a very fun Daycamp day!
Nails,bath, and coat management $50 total. She is starting to groom up so nicely. She came to me first having a very overly sissored look and the coat was dry and quite damaged. After a couple months it's actually starting to come back softer and more healthy.
