Enjoy the golden meadows Rufus, you had a wonderful rescue looking out for you that tried their very best! 🌾🌈

It is with great sadness that we have to report that we had to help Rufus cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge. The vets did wonderful with him but after the X-rays were looked at, his injuries were too bad to fix. Rufus’s hips were messed up and his legs. He also had bad injuries to his spine. Rufus was brought to Roni Asbill’s home were we had a vet come out to help him cross. He was surrounded by love and was not alone. We never like to make these decisions and in rescue this is where we have to make the hardest calls. It would have been unfair to him as he would have been incontinent for the rest of his life and would have never been able to walk on his back legs. We so wish that this would have been such a different outcome for this little guy, but just know he knew love. Thank you everyone who tried to help save him.
