The colder months are coming and that means it is clinic season 🥳

** 3 spots left ** November 15th - Confidence Building Clinic
Are you looking to get back into riding or work through some confidence issues? Have you taken a fall in the past and decided it is time to get past that? Come and ride with us! We will work on a variety of exercises and enjoy a pressure free group setting to get our goals accomplished.

** FULL ** January 24th - Reining and Flag work clinic
We will be working on circling, lead changes, spins, stops, rundown and rollbacks. This clinic is great for anyone that is comfortable loping a lot and wants to work on their maneuvers more.
We will also spend some time working the cutting flag - all levels welcome.

** FULL ** February 21st - Ranch Riding and Ranch Pleasure clinic
Let's tackle patterns together! We will have a w/t option and a w/t/l option and will split our group by experience level. You will learn about pattern placement, precision, transitions and we will go over maneuvers like sidepassing, pivoting and going over logs.
We will also spend some time on the rail to work on transitions and improve our horses' way of moving correctly and efficiently.

** FULL ** March 14th - Ranch Trail and Ranch Conformation
Obstacles can be tricky to work through- let's do it together in our clinic! You will learn how to sagely navigate all obstacles including a log drag, roping dummy and ground tie. We will go into depth about how to make an average maneuver a credit earning one and talk about the importance of transitions.
In the Ranch Conformation part everyone will grt a chance to go over a Conformation class. We will talk about how to best set each individual horse up to look its best. The exhibitor's ranch showmanship will be a topic and we will learn about how to select a horse with good conformation.

Loving this little lead change drill!

The log "tunnels" are a bit offset and require the horse to clear the shoulder and not lean before the lead change. You change leads and the second tunnel helps work on straightness after the lead change.

Jackson (3) and Sky (2) training update

Ride #1 and #2 are in the books 😍
They both did great and we are already riding over the teeter totter and over "jumps". This time Jackson asked to train her and didn't want to get off!

This pony will be for sale next year and she will be just as good as our sweet Daisy 🥹

We had a big moment tonight in our youth beginner group lesson!!

These 3 girls all loped at the same time for the first time 😍 We've spent a long time doing walk/trot as a group and individually taking turns to lope. But they all gained so much confidence and skill, that they could all do it together!

Louise even did it ba****ck on Doc 🥳
Scarlett did it on old JJ that is missing an 👁
Tori did it on Mia, who she's only ever ridden once before

We have a new horse trainer on the payroll 😱

Jackson (3) worked towards putting the first ride on his pony Sky (2) this weekend.
He got her all desensitized to jumping next to her, leaning over and sitting on her.

Once Sky was ready to actually ride, he lost interest 😂 He thought teaching her to trot in hand was more interesting.. oh well, we will try that again tomorrow 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

We do offer pony training (riding and driving) if anyone is interested. Discounted rate as the trainer may lose interest halfway through the ride 😅

Everyone is always looking for experienced, safe anyone-can-ride-horses. Well we have one available!

Meet Harry - a 13yo, 14.3 hand sorrel gelding that has helped multiple kids learn how to ride and is now ready to move onto the next family.

He just had a whole year off and you can see in the video how he rode off. So clearly, he handles time off very well.

He is fantastic on the trails, leads or follows, rides out alone and just does what you ask. He neck reins very well and has the SMOOTHEST GAITS I have ever ridden. It's literally like gliding - a true beginner mount.

Harry has done all the WSCA games except Jump Figure 8, but only lopes and doesn't have any speed. Which is why he is for sale 🤷🏼‍♀️

He stands tied, good to saddle, takes baths, good for vet and farrier.
UTD on all cares

He does crib when in a stall, but no issues when outside, so he has always lived outside since we've known him.

Come and try him! He has a super friendly personality and is just a big sweetheart. He is currently a little thin and needs some groceries. I've known him at the perfect weight also and he is the same exact horse.
