Be sure to tune into the Cowboy Channel at 4 PM (CT) today, 11/11/25, for their coverage of the Black Gold Championship races as during that telecast host Dave Appleton is going to give a preview of the 2025 Texas Classic Finals that are going to be run this Saturday, 11/15/25 at Lone Star Park.

REMINDER: The next payment for the Texas Breeders Futurity is November 17th (15th falls on a Saturday). The payment is $500. You can mail the payment in or call with a credit card. Payments mailed in need to have a postmark no later than November 17th. The list of eligible horses is located at TQHA.com. Click the racing tab then click the Texas Breeders Futurity tab. If your horse is not on the list and you want to put him/her in a late supplemental payment of $1,500 would be due on November 17, 2025.

It's time for the TQHA Sale Futurity Nominations!

The Early Bird/Regular Nominations list for the 2026 Texas Breeders Futurity has been posted. There are 440 horses currently paid up!!! You can find the list along with all the information about the 2026 Texas Breeders Futurity by going to TQHA.com then clicking on Racing and then scroll down to the tab that says Texas Breeders Futurity. The next payment for this race is $500 due November 15, 2025. If your horse is not on the list and you want to put him/her in a late supplemental payment of $1,500 would be due on November 15, 2025.

The leading TQHA Accredited Texas Bred Breeders, Owners, Stallion Owners, Broodmares and Sires for 2025 have just been posted on the TQHA website. You can find them at TQHA.com and click Racing then click Accredited Texas Bred. The leaderboard is located on the right of the screen. These are the leaders through the end of the 2025 Sam Houston Race Park, Retama Park and Gillespie County Fair Meets only. If at the top of the page it does not show the names of all three tracks hit your F5 button to refresh it.

Owner / Breeder / Stallion Owner award checks for both the 2025 Retama Park Meet and the 2025 Gillespie County Fair Meet are being processed and signed. Checks should be delivered to the post office tomorrow. There are still quite a few races on hold so if you don't get a check you were expecting that is probably the reason but you can call the office and we will let you know. Also the Pending Awards list online will be updated sometime after we get checks sent out. The Pending Awards are the ones where we need some information from you in order to process your check.
