SALE CHECKS ARE GOING IN THE MAIL TODAY!!! Sale checks from the 2026 TQHA Yearling Sale are currently being signed and will be taken to the post office later today. Thanks to all our consigners and buyers and we look forward to seeing you back for the 2027 edition.

The current Accredited Texas Bred leading Sires, Dams, Breeders, Owners, and Stallion Owners are now posted on the TQHA website. Click on the Racing Tab then click Accredited Texas Bred and then look to the right of your screen. These standings reflect ONLY the 2026 Sam Houston Race Park meet so far. These lists will be updated as the year goes on and other race meets end.

The Accredited Texas Bred Owner/Breeder/Stallion Owner award checks for the 2026 Sam Houston Race Park meet have been dropped off at the post office and are headed your way!! This was a big year for Accredited Texas Breds at Sam Houston Race Park as the number of ATB horses running first, second or third in all races was up considerably over the past few years. That means the Texas Breeders are producing a really nice product and the Owners are benefiting from that!! Congratulations to all the award earners.

The July sustaining lists for the Texas Classic Futurity, Texas Classic Derby and Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks are now posted on the TQHA website. The next payment is the $1,200 at time of entry that needs to be in your Texas Horsemen's Partnership Bookkeeper account on entry day. If you need to check on the balance in your THP account please call 512-467-9799.

If you did not pay into the Texas Classic Races and want to pay in late at time of entry the total to pay in is $33,650 for the Oaks and Derby and $53,650 for the Futurity.

The Texas Quarter Horse Association would like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone that consigned, sold or purchased a horse at our 29th Annual Yearling Sale this past Friday and Saturday. It was one of the top sales in the history of the event which shows the dedication our breeders and buyers have to Texas racing. We wish you lots of racing luck and will see you again next year.

***TQHA YEARLING SALE REMINDER ***

If you are attending the sale and plan on writing a check for your purchase you need to fill out and send in the Request To Purchase By Check or Solicitud Para Comprar Con Cheque form located at https://www.tqha.com/events/annual-yearling-sale/ This needs to be sent into the TQHA offices by no later than July 20th. The form needs to be filled out in its’ entirety. You can mail it in to the address on the form or email it to [email protected].

***New for 2026*** TQHA will be offering Online Bidding via DVAuction. There are strict timelines and processes for being eligible to participate in the Online Bidding. All the guidelines, information and the registration form can be found on the TQHA website at https://www.tqha.com/events/onlinebidding/ DEADLINE TO SIGN UP FOR ONLINE BIDDING IS JULY 17TH!!

REMINDER: The July sustaining payments for the Texas Classic Futurity, Texas Classic Derby and Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks are due July 15th. It is $400 for each race.

Payments must be postmarked by July 15th. If you are making the payment from your THP Account you need to contact the THP at 512-467-9799 by July 15th.

If your horse is not currently paid up and you want to pay in late the total to pay in late is $27,050 for the Futurity and $17,050 for both the Derby and the Oaks.
