There are now 125 Stallions eligible to buy a breeding from in the 2026 TQHA Stallion Auction. The auction is currently ongoing and closes at NOON on January 8, 2026. The list of stallions includes numerous sires of Quarter Horse champions as well as many up and coming new sires. The entire auction is done online so to see what sires are included in this year’s auction go to https://tqhastallionauction.com/ and click on the box in the center that says “Click For Race Horse Auction”. NOTE…If you are looking at this site on your phone once you click on the box your screen may not change but if you scroll down you will see the stallions. Be sure and check the site from time to time as new stallions are being added all the time. PLEASE NOTE…be sure to click on the horses name to see any restrictions or additional charges that are not covered by your auction bid like farm fees, collection fees,…etc…etc…. This is very important!!!

Recently some changes have been made to the eligibility requirements for the TQHA Scholarship fund. The changes have made it more inclusive for kids of racing parents/grandparents to apply for and possibly receive a TQHA Scholarship. Scholarships are also now available for not only Undergraduate Studies but also for Post Graduate Studies as well as Vocational Schools. 2026 Applications are due in the TQHA offices NO LATER than January 6, 2026.

Some important details of the application are as follows:

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a TQHYA or TQHA member in good standing as of the application date. If you are not currently a TQHA or TQHYA member you will need to apply for a membership.
- Must be a senior in high school or enrolled at an accredited college, university, or vocational school.
- Must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), including high school and post-high school grades if applicable.
- Must be a United States citizen and resident of Texas.
- Previous recipients of a TQHAF scholarship may reapply if:
1. Pursuing post-graduate studies (including DVM), or
2. Seeking additional undergraduate funding if the original scholarship funded two years or less

It’s a Christmas Surprise from TQHA!!! The number of held races for the 2024 Lone Star Park meet finally got to what we considered a level to where we could process the 2024 Lone Star Park Accredited Texas Bred Owner, Breeder and Stallion Owner awards and get them sent out. Those checks have been cut and are being put in envelopes and will be taken to the post office tomorrow.

Currently there are 26 races still on hold. If you do not get an award check for a particular race it is more than likely due the race still being on hold OR we need a TQHA transfer done for your horse. The list of Pending Awards for those that we need information from you on will be posted sometime soon.

So keep an eye out for your 2024 Lone Star Park awards check as they should be hitting your mailboxes very soon!!!

IT'S HAPPENING!!! The 2026 TQHA Stallion Service Auction is open for action. Visit https://tqhastallionauction.com/ and register and put in a bid for a discounted breeding to some of the industry's leading sires and up and coming sires. Auction closes on January 8, 2026 at NOON CENTRAL TIME!!

2026 TQHA Sale Futurity sustaining payment due December 1st

REMINDER: The next payment for the Texas Breeders Futurity is December 15th. The payment is $500. You can mail the payment in or call with a credit card. Payments mailed in need to have a postmark no later than December 15th. The list of eligible horses is located at TQHA.com. Click the racing tab then click the Texas Breeders Futurity tab. If your horse is not on the list and you want to put him/her in a late supplemental payment of $2,500 would be due on December 15, 2025.
